operates and be capable of taking significant day-to-day responsibility off ownership.\nAbout the Role\nThe General Manager will oversee the day-to-day performance of the International Moving Division and take ownership across:\nSales\nOperations\nPricing\nSales Support\nCustomer Service\nYou will lead teams, establish accountability, improve processes, develop employees, manage escalations, and ensure the division operates efficiently while continuing to grow.\nThis is a hands-on leadership position requiring someone who can move comfortably between strategy, people management, operational problem-solving, and execution.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the day-to-day operations of the International Moving Division.\nOversee Sales, Operations, Pricing, Sales Support, and Customer Service functions.\nRecruit, train, coach, and manage remote employees and department leaders.\nEstablish KPIs and performance standards across departments.\nHold teams accountable for results and operational execution.\nImprove sales processes, close rates, workflows, and customer experience.\nReview pricing strategies and ensure quotes are accurate, competitive, and commercially sound.\nCoach sales representatives and improve overall sales performance.\nIdentify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.\nHandle complex and escalated customer situations professionally.\nDevelop, document, and improve SOPs across the division.\nEnsure proper coordination between sales, pricing, operations, and customer service.\nMaintain compliance with international shipping regulations and industry best practices.\nWork directly with ownership on growth initiatives, technology implementation, hiring, and strategic planning.\nTake meaningful operational responsibility away from ownership so leadership can focus on broader growth opportunities.\nRequirements\nRequired Industry Experience\nDirect international moving experience is non-negotiable.\nCandidates must have significant professional experience working specifically within an international moving company or international household goods division.\nGeneral freight, transportation, supply chain, or logistics experience without international moving experience will not be sufficient.\nCandidates should have extensive knowledge of:\nInternational household goods moving\nInternational moving operations\nOcean freight\nAir freight\nCustoms procedures\nInternational shipping documentation\nOrigin and destination services\nInternational moving pricing and quoting\nShipment coordination\nCustomer escalations\nInternational moving industry standards and processes\nRequired Leadership Experience\nIdeally 10+ years of international household goods moving experience.\nSignificant experience managing operations for an international moving company or major international moving division.\nProven experience leading teams and developing employees.\nExperience overseeing multiple functions such as Operations, Sales, Pricing, Sales Support, and Customer Service.\nAbility to establish KPIs and manage teams against measurable performance expectations.\nStrong coaching and performance-management capabilities.\nExperience resolving complex customer and operational escalations.\nStrong commercial understanding of pricing, profitability, sales performance, and operational efficiency.\nExcellent written and verbal English communication.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.\nHigh level of computer proficiency.\nExperience with CRM, transportation-management, and workflow software is highly preferred.\nExperience working with the U.S. international moving market is a strong advantage.\nWhat We're Looking For\nThe ideal candidate
