You’ll take ownership of network reliability, performance, and security across enterprise environments while supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term infrastructure initiatives.\nWorking across routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, monitoring systems, and hybrid cloud environments, you’ll ensure network infrastructure remains stable, secure, scalable, and highly available.\nIf you enjoy solving complex networking challenges, improving infrastructure, and maintaining mission-critical systems, this role is for you.\nResponsibilities\nNetwork Infrastructure & Configuration\nConfigure, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.\nImplement and manage:\nVLANs\nQoS\nVPN tunnels\nAccess Control Lists (ACLs)\nRouting protocols including OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP\nPerform firmware upgrades, patching, and infrastructure maintenance.\nSupport network expansion projects, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.\nMaintain reliable connectivity across multi-site and hybrid environments.\nNetwork Monitoring & Troubleshooting\nMonitor network health using tools such as:\nSolarWinds\nPRTG\nNagios\nZabbix\nDiagnose and resolve latency, packet loss, DNS, routing, and connectivity issues.\nTroubleshoot escalated incidents using tools such as Wireshark and TCPdump.\nPerform root-cause analysis and implement long-term preventive solutions.\nParticipate in on-call support and respond to critical network incidents when required.\nNetwork Security & Compliance\nConfigure and maintain firewall environments including:\nCisco\nPalo Alto\nFortinet\nJuniper\nImplement network segmentation, ACLs, and security policies.\nSupport compliance initiatives related to:\nPCI-DSS\nHIPAA\nSOX\nGDPR\nAssist with Zero Trust networking and secure remote access implementations.\nMaintain a secure, resilient, and well-governed network infrastructure.\nPerformance Optimization & Reliability\nPerform bandwidth utilization analysis and capacity planning.\nOptimize network performance through redundancy, failover, and load balancing.\nMaintain high-availability infrastructure across enterprise environments.\nIdentify bottlenecks and recommend scalable infrastructure improvements.\nSupport cloud networking integrations across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.\nDocumentation & Operational Governance\nMaintain accurate network diagrams, topology maps, SOPs, and technical documentation.\nDocument infrastructure changes following structured change management processes.\nKeep configurations, procedures, and documentation organized and audit-ready.\nCollaborate closely with infrastructure, cloud, security, and DevOps teams on network initiatives.\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\nYou have a strong troubleshooting mindset and remain calm during critical incidents.\nYou proactively identify and resolve infrastructure risks.\nYou communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nYou maintain high standards for documentation and operational excellence.\nYou work independently while collaborating effectively within remote teams.\nYou take ownership of infrastructure reliability and long-term improvements.\nRequired Experience & Skills\n3+ years of professional Network Engineering experience.\nHands-on experience managing enterprise networking environments.\nStrong knowledge of:\nOSPF\nBGP\nEIGRP\nExperience configuring:\nRouters\nSwitches\nFirewalls\nVPN environments\nExperience with network monitoring and troubleshooting platforms.\nStrong experience with Cisco networking environments or equivalent enterprise platforms.\nSolid understanding of:\nTCP/IP\nDNS\nDHCP\nVLANs\nQoS\nExcellent written and verbal English communication skills.\nPreferred Experience\nCisco CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certifications.\nExperience with:\nPalo Alto\nFortinet\nJuniper\nExperience supporting:\nAWS VPCs\nAzure VNets\nHybrid cloud networking\nFamiliarity with:\nPython\nAnsible\nTerraform\nExperience supporting multi-site enterprise environments.\nExposure to Zero Trust networking models and modern security frameworks.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nNetwork uptime consistently maintained at 99.9% or higher.\nFast resolution of network incidents and escalations.\nAccurate, current, and well-maintained infrastructure documentation.\nTimely completion of critical patches and compliance requirements.\nImproved network stability, scalability, and performance.\nPositive feedback from internal stakeholders on network reliability and support.\nInterview Process\nInitial Phone Screen\nVideo Interview with Pavago Recruiter\nTechnical Assessment (Network Troubleshooting or Configuration Exercise)\nClient Interview with IT/Engineering Leadership\nOffer & Background Verification\nWhat Happens After You Apply\nRight after you apply, you’ll receive an email invitation from Spark Hire to record your Intro Video.
