You’ll work across enterprise environments using Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and hybrid cloud technologies to ensure secure, reliable, and highly available networks.\nIf you enjoy solving complex networking challenges, maintaining critical infrastructure, and improving enterprise network performance, this role is for you.\nResponsibilities\nEnterprise Network Infrastructure\nConfigure, maintain, and optimize enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.\nWork across networking platforms including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.\nConfigure and manage:\nVLANs\nQoS\nVPN tunnels\nACLs\nNetwork segmentation\nImplement and maintain routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.\nPerform firmware upgrades, hardware maintenance, patch management, and infrastructure improvements.\nSupport enterprise network expansions, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.\nNetwork Monitoring & Troubleshooting\nMonitor network health using SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix, or similar monitoring tools.\nTroubleshoot:\nLatency\nPacket loss\nRouting instability\nVPN connectivity\nFailover issues\nUtilize tools such as Wireshark and TCPdump for packet analysis.\nPerform root-cause analysis and document remediation plans.\nRespond to escalated production incidents while meeting SLA requirements.\nNetwork Security & Compliance\nConfigure and maintain enterprise firewall policies and VPN security.\nImplement:\nACLs\nNetwork segmentation\nIntrusion prevention\nSecure remote access\nZero Trust networking principles\nSupport compliance initiatives including:\nPCI-DSS\nHIPAA\nSOX\nGDPR\nWork with security tools such as Snort and Suricata where applicable.\nPerformance Optimization & Reliability\nPerform bandwidth utilization analysis and capacity planning.\nOptimize:\nHigh availability\nRedundancy\nLoad balancing\nFailover performance\nMaintain network uptime of 99.9% or greater.\nProactively identify and resolve infrastructure risks before they impact production.\nDocumentation & Governance\nMaintain:\nNetwork diagrams\nTopology maps\nConfiguration documentation\nRunbooks\nUse Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.\nFollow structured ITIL change management processes.\nEnsure documentation remains accurate and audit-ready.\nCloud Networking & Infrastructure Projects\nCollaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps teams.\nSupport networking across:\nAWS VPC\nAzure VNets\nGoogle Cloud Platform\nHybrid cloud environments\nParticipate in:\nInfrastructure migrations\nOffice expansions\nData center deployments\nNetwork modernization initiatives\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\nStrong troubleshooting skills under pressure.\nDetail-oriented with excellent documentation habits.\nProactive approach to preventing outages and improving reliability.\nStrong communicator who explains technical concepts clearly.\nComfortable balancing operational support with infrastructure projects.\nPassionate about networking, security, and continuous improvement.\nRequired Experience & Skills\n3+ years of professional experience in:\nNetwork Engineering\nInfrastructure Engineering\nEnterprise Networking\nHands-on experience with:\nCisco\nPalo Alto\nFortinet\nJuniper\nStrong understanding of:\nTCP/IP\nVLANs\nQoS\nVPNs\nACLs\nBGP\nOSPF\nExperience with enterprise monitoring, troubleshooting, and packet analysis tools.\nStrong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.\nExcellent written and verbal English communication.\nPreferred Experience\nCCNP, CCIE, or equivalent networking certifications.\nPalo Alto or Fortinet certifications.\nExperience with:\nAWS VPC\nAzure Networking\nHybrid cloud environments\nFamiliarity with:\nPython\nAnsible\nTerraform\nNetwork automation\nExperience supporting highly available, multi-site enterprise environments.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nNetwork uptime consistently maintained at 99.9%+.\nNetwork incidents resolved within SLA targets.\nZero missed critical patches or compliance gaps.\nAccurate and current infrastructure documentation.\nReduced recurring outages and escalations.\nStrong stakeholder satisfaction with network reliability and support.\nInterview Process\nInitial Phone Screen\nVideo Interview with Pavago Recruiter\nTechnical Assessment (VLAN Configuration or Network Troubleshooting Scenario)\nClient Interview with Engineering Team\nOffer & Background Verification\nWhat Happens After You Apply\nRight after you apply, you’ll receive an email invitation from Spark Hire to record your Intro Video.
