You’ll work closely with frontend and backend engineers to strengthen regression coverage, eliminate flaky tests, improve framework reliability, and ensure high-quality releases across the development lifecycle.\nResponsibilities\nTest Automation\nBuild, maintain, and expand end-to-end automation using Playwright and TypeScript.\nDevelop scalable automation frameworks for critical product workflows.\nImprove regression coverage across frontend and backend systems.\nWrite reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated tests.\nFramework Reliability\nIdentify and eliminate flaky tests.\nImprove test execution speed and framework stability.\nTroubleshoot issues related to DOM interactions, asynchronous behavior, and network requests.\nMaintain reliable automation environments across releases.\nCI/CD & Quality\nIntegrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.\nSupport reliable deployments through continuous testing.\nMaintain test environments and test data strategies.\nImprove release confidence through automated quality validation.\nCollaboration & Continuous Improvement\nPartner with frontend and backend engineers throughout feature development.\nParticipate in release planning and testing strategy discussions.\nLeverage AI tools to improve exploratory testing and automation workflows.\nContinuously improve automation coverage, reliability, and engineering best practices.\nRequired Experience & Skills\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript.\nHands-on experience with Playwright (Cypress experience is acceptable with willingness to transition).\nProven experience building and maintaining end-to-end automation frameworks.\nStrong understanding of DOM interactions, asynchronous behavior, network requests, and debugging flaky tests.\nExperience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills.\nNice to Have\nExperience building automation frameworks from scratch.\nKnowledge of test data management strategies.\nExperience testing B2B SaaS or multi-tenant applications.\nFamiliarity with role-based access and permissions testing.\nExperience with AI-assisted testing tools and workflows.\nStartup or product-led environment experience.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nStable and reliable automation frameworks.\nReduced flaky tests and production defects.\nIncreased automated regression coverage.\nFaster, more reliable CI/CD testing.\nImproved test execution speed and release quality.\nInterview Process\nInitial Recruiter Screening\nTechnical Assessment\nClient Technical Interview\nFinal Interview\nOffer & Onboarding\nWhat Happens After You Apply\nRight after you apply, you’ll receive an email invitation from Spark Hire to record your Intro Video.
