Client Success Manager - Cold Email & Deliverability

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote

Working Hours: Flexible, with availability during U.S. business hours

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Client Success Manager to own client relationships, cold email campaign performance, deliverability, and retention.

This is a hands-on role combining client success, account management, cold email, lead generation, and campaign optimization. You’ll manage approximately 20-30 active client accounts and work closely with founders, developers, and outreach teams.

This is not a support-only role. You’ll be expected to understand campaign performance, troubleshoot problems, optimize cold email campaigns, and proactively prevent client churn.

What You’ll Own

Client Success & Account Management

• Manage a portfolio of 20-30 active clients
• Serve as the primary point of contact from onboarding onward
• Lead client check-ins, performance calls, and campaign updates
• Monitor account health and proactively identify churn risks
• Manage client expectations and communicate next steps clearly
• Build strong relationships with founders and executive stakeholders
• Own client satisfaction, retention, and issue resolution

Cold Email Campaign Management

• Monitor and optimize outbound cold email campaigns
• Diagnose underperforming campaigns and identify root causes
• Review targeting, prospect lists, messaging, sequencing, and campaign setup
• Write and optimize cold email copy, subject lines, and CTAs
• Quality-check campaigns before launch
• Improve reply rates, positive response rates, and qualified lead generation
• Step into campaign execution when additional support is needed

Email Deliverability

• Monitor inbox placement, sender reputation, bounce rates, and campaign health
• Troubleshoot deliverability and inbox placement issues
• Understand domain warm-up and outbound email infrastructure
• Identify problems affecting sender reputation or campaign performance
• Collaborate with technical teams on infrastructure issues
• Support scalable deliverability practices across multiple client accounts

Retention & Performance

• Identify at-risk accounts before issues escalate
• Build action plans for underperforming campaigns
• Connect campaign metrics to measurable client outcomes
• Maintain proactive communication during performance challenges
• Track client health, campaign results, and retention risks
• Help reduce churn and strengthen long-term client relationships

Processes & Operations

• Build and improve client success playbooks and SOPs
• Maintain organized tracking for client health, SLAs, campaign performance, and outstanding issues
• Document campaign workflows and operating procedures
• Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend improvements
• Use AI and automation tools to improve reporting and execution

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with developers on technical and email infrastructure issues
• Coordinate with outreach teams on targeting, messaging, and campaign execution
• Report client risks, campaign performance, and operational issues to leadership
• Ensure client delivery remains organized and consistent as the business scales

Requirements

• Experience in Client Success, Account Management, Client Delivery, or Campaign Management
• Previous experience with a cold email agency, lead generation company, or outbound sales/growth agency
• Hands-on experience with cold email campaigns and outbound lead generation
• Strong understanding of email deliverability, inbox placement, sender reputation, and warm-up systems
• Ability to write and optimize cold email copy
• Experience troubleshooting underperforming outbound campaigns
• Familiarity with outbound campaign tools, CRM systems, and automation workflows
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced remote environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with Instantly, Smartlead, Clay, Apollo, or HubSpot
• Familiarity with SPF, DKIM, DMARC, DNS, and email infrastructure
• Experience managing high-volume outbound campaigns
• Experience working directly with founders or executive-level clients
• Experience building client success SOPs or delivery playbooks
• Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and automation tools
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for campaign and operational workflows
