Reporting to the Manager, Access & Review, the Coordinator acts as point of contact for client and internal requests, utilizing multiple software systems and resources to ensure event and operational service delivery expectations are met.\n\nThis position operates in a casual capacity based on vacation coverage and operational needs. \n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\nAct as a point of contact for client and internal requests, ensuring appropriate dispatch and coordination of personnel and resources ensuring operational service delivery expectations are met. \nFollow internal processes to handle issues and escalate to Operations Leads / Operations Managers as required.\nMonitor and respond to multiple radio channels simultaneously.\nAssist Operations Coordinators as a scribe during emergency response. \nFacilitate information handling and tracking of daily operations, deliveries, lost & found, and Facility Service Requests\nMonitor employee entrance and visitor management access control for staff, suppliers & contractors.\nCoordinate radio tracking including managing inventory and reporting damage and shortages.\nCoordinate response to critical equipment failure, escalating to Operations Leads / Operations Managers as required.\nLiaise with internal staff, tenants, neighbouring businesses, hotels, city attractions, and city agencies regarding day-to-day operations and to communicate information, as needed .\nMaintain and provide knowledge about the VCC, Vancouver, local attractions, hotels, and restaurants. \nMaintain current knowledge on all daily venue operations to provide operational service excellence to all stakeholders including identifying process improvements and policy updates.\nMaintain a detailed and published log of activities during each shift.\nContribute to the development and maintenance of resources in the Momentus Documents Library.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL BRING:\nGrade 12 diploma or equivalent education.\nValid BC Security Worker License with a Security Guard license type is an asset. \nA minimum of two years of experience in a similar role in the event or service industry is an asset.\nSound working knowledge of a wide variety of standard software applications including Microsoft Office Programs, iPads, iPhones, and cloud-based software.\nGood understanding of Access Control for staff and contractors \nAbility to clearly express ideas, thoughts, and concepts verbally and in writing\nAbility to analyze a situation and make appropriate decisions independently.\nProblem solving and decision-making skills.\nBroad knowledge and experience base to find the best solution.\nSense of urgency and ability to prioritize.\nReadily acknowledges when one doesn't know something and takes the steps to find out.\nInitiative to find better ways, new methods, and processes to get the job done.\nHigh collaboration skills to work towards common goals with others.\nPassion for meeting and exceeding guest/customer expectations.\nThrives in working in a team environment\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $24.01\nOffers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education. \n\nHOW TO APPLY:\nIf you’re excited to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
