In this role, you’ll lead low to medium complexity procurements, conduct market research, work with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and provide practical procurement guidance.\n\nWorking as part of the Procurement team, you’ll be responsible for routine and moderately complex assignments while ensuring processes are fair, transparent, competitive, and compliant with PavCo policies and public-sector requirements. You’ll also support higher-risk and specialized procurements with guidance from the team.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\nLead low- to medium-complexity competitive procurements, including RFQs, RFIs, NOIs, routine RFPs, and contracts for goods and services.\nPartner with business units to develop scopes of work, evaluation criteria, solicitation documents, and procurement schedules.\nCoordinate supplier evaluations, prepare award recommendations, and support contract execution.\nConduct market research and supplier outreach to identify sourcing options and support competitive procurement processes.\nProvide procurement guidance to internal stakeholders and suppliers, including requirements, timelines, and processes.\nMaintain awareness of applicable trade agreements, procurement policies, legislation, and industry best practices.\nIdentify procurement risks and compliance considerations and escalate issues as appropriate.\nSupport social procurement and sustainability objectives where applicable.\nMaintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers while promoting fair, open, and transparent procurement practices.\nEnsure procurement files and documentation meet audit, policy, and record-retention requirements, and prepare reports, summaries, and recommendations.\nSupport the Procurement Manager on complex, high-value, or strategic procurement initiatives.\nDeliver timely, high-quality procurement services in accordance with PavCo policies, government standards, contractual practices, and ethical requirements.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL BRING:\nUniversity or post-secondary education in a relevant field, preferably in Business Administration.\n1–3 years of experience managing competitive bids for goods, construction, and services-related procurement.\nWorking knowledge of public-sector procurement practices, competitive bidding processes, and RFx development.\nAbility to apply procurement policies, procedures, and legislation accurately and consistently.\nStrong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify procurement risks and apply sound judgment.\nStrong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.\nStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.\nStrong attention to detail and documentation.\nDemonstrated initiative, accountability, and diligence in follow-through.\nCollaborative, customer-focused, and team-friendly approach.\n\nThe salary range for this position is $59,000 - $74,000\nOffers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education.\nSalary discussion and overall compensation package will be presented during initial phone interviews.\nWHAT WE OFFER:\nHybrid model (For eligible positions after probationary period is completed)\nCompetitive salary\nExcellent benefits and a strong government pension plan\n\nWe Appreciate Your Interest in PavCo and This Position\nAt PavCo, we are committed to building high-performance teams.
