Learn more atwww.pavion.com\nPavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our fire business unit.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nProject Planning & Management\nPlan, schedule, and manage projects from kickoff through final acceptance\nDefine project scope, milestones, budgets, and deliverables\nDevelop and maintain project schedules (including design, procurement, installation, testing, and close-out)\nTrack project progress and proactively resolve delays or risks\nCode & Compliance Oversight\nEnsure systems comply with NFPA 72, local AHJ requirements, building codes, and contract documents\nCoordinate plan reviews, permit submissions, and AHJ approvals\nAddress code interpretations and resolve compliance issues\nPrepare documentation for inspections and final acceptance\nDesign & Engineering Coordination\nReview drawings, calculations, and sequence of operations\nCoordinate with engineers, designers, and system programmers\nVerify device layouts, wiring methods, panel configurations, and network architecture\nEnsure design intent aligns with contract and code requirements\nProcurement & Materials Management\nOrder panels, devices, power supplies, and related materials\nTrack lead times and coordinate deliveries to match project schedules\nManage inventory and material shortages\nApprove substitutions when required and ensure compliance\nField Operations & Installation Oversight\nCoordinate field technicians, subcontractors, and commissioning teams\nMonitor installation quality and adherence to drawings and standards\nResolve field issues and change conditions\nTesting, Commissioning & Acceptance\nPlan and oversee system testing, programming, and commissioning\nCoordinate pre-tests and final inspections with AHJs and clients\nEnsure deficiencies are corrected prior to final acceptance\nVerify proper documentation (testing reports, as-builts, certifications)\nFinancial & Contract Management\nManage project budgets, labor hours, and cost controls\nReview and approve change orders and billing\nTrack job cost performance and profitability\nEnsure contract requirements are met\nCommunication & Stakeholder Coordination\nAct as the primary point of contact for clients, GCs, inspectors, and internal teams\nConduct project meetings and provide status updates\nCoordinate with other trades (electrical, mechanical, sprinkler, IT)\nMaintain clear documentation and communication logs\nDocumentation & Close-Out\nEnsure completion of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranties\nConfirm training is provided to end users\nClose permits and obtain final approvals\nTransition systems to service or maintenance teams\nSafety & Quality Assurance\nPromote jobsite safety and coordination with site safety plans\nEnsure work complies with company standards and QA/QC procedures\nAddress safety concerns and deficiencies immediately\nBasic Qualifications:\nStrong knowledge of fire alarm systems, manufacturers, and signaling line circuits\nFamiliarity with NFPA 72 and local fire codes\nProject management, scheduling, and budgeting skills\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nStrong communication and documentation skills\n2 years project Management Experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working with Intrusion Alarm Systems: 2 years\nFire Alarm Systems: 2 years\nCCTV/ IP-CCTV System: 2 years\nAccess Control Systems: 2 years\nProject Management Experience: 2 years\nNICET II -Fire Alarm System\nFASA BASA\nNotifier Certification\nThe salary range for this position is $85,000-$95,000 annually. The starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
