Learn more atwww.pavion.com\nPavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Technician to join our security business unit.\nPrimary Responsivities:\nTechnical Acumen:\nPerform upgrades and additions to security/life safety related systems in order to increase functionality\nEvaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot and perform repairs as necessary\nInstall, maintain, or repair security/life safety related systems, devices, or related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans\nAll work is performed to Pavion standards and quality techniques are practiced\nAdhere to procedures and standards in system design for quality installations\nMaintain accurate project information with in Pavion shared files and system\nAbility to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities without supervision\nCapacity to organize workload for effective implementation\nBe knowledgeable of current industry standards and emerging technologies\nAbility to plan and carryout efficient installation, programming, testing procedures\nAbility to perform system upgrades and system cut overs on large-scale systems (enterprise systems)\nAbility to assist Sales and Engineering in making sound decisions with project design and implementation necessary for accurate proposal bids\nAbility to train others on troubleshooting methods\nAbility to lead a crew and organize workload to see projects to completion on time and within budget\nMaintain professional licensing and certifications as required by manufacturers, State and Local jurisdictions\nOther duties deemed necessary\nCustomer Service & Communications Skills:\nWork with personnel on system startup to ensure complete system compliance\nMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills in providing customers and Project Managers with detailed progress updates, delays/ impacts, safety concerns, and any other information that will aid in achieving a successful project outcome\nWork proactively and in a positive manner with all co-workers\nCommunicate effectively and in a timely manner to resolve Pavion, Client, or other inquiries and/or requests\nMaintain communications with customers and sales executives to resolve customer issues\nAbility to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations\nSafety & Accountability:\nAdherence to all Pavion Safety Policies; Work at required heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other\nConsistently keeps work area clean and free of potential hazards\nWork in confined spaces as necessary\nWorks with Project Manager to oversee the installation of multiple crews to ensure jobs are on track and within the project estimate and scope\nAbility to complete work and solve problems in a timely manner\nWork with Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service department\nWork with Project Manager to ensure all jobs are maintaining budgets and timelines throughout all phases of project\nProvide reports to management\nAdhere to procedures and standards in system design for quality installations\nBasic Qualifications:\nHigh school education, or equivalent, or 2-year associate degree in electronics required\n5 years minimum experience with security/life safety related system installations\nNevada requires construction workers to be OSHA certified in the 10 hour or 30 hour training courses. \nProper hand and power tool operations and safety. Strong computer skills\nValid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insurance\nEffective written and oral communication skills. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperienced in the low voltage construction industry, understanding of computers and various security electronics is preferred.\nManufacture training certifications within the security industry are a plus.\nMilitary training / experience a plus. Must be available for on call and after hours’ service response, occasional travel and overtime. Have acquired multiple certifications for one or more of the following fields - Access Control, CCTV, Alarm, Fire, and Networking or Intrusion systems.\nThe hourly pay range for this position is $25-$30 per hour. The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
