You will work closely with internal technical teams, local telecom providers, and external vendors to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable voice connectivity across our operations.What You'll Be DoingTaking technical ownership of the company’s VoIP and PBX infrastructure across multiple countries;\nEvaluating PBX solutions, comparing vendors, and participating in the selection of a replacement for the existing platform;\nPlanning and leading the technical implementation and migration to a new PBX solution, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations;\nDesigning, configuring, and maintaining reliable VoIP infrastructure, including PBX platforms, SIP trunks, gateways, and integrations with local telecom providers;\nWorking with local IT teams, telecom operators, and external vendors across African markets to establish and maintain reliable voice connectivity;\nTroubleshooting telephony issues, including call routing, registration, connectivity, audio quality, and performance;\nCollaborating with Network, DevOps, and IT Operations teams on connectivity, security, infrastructure, and integration requirements;\nMonitoring voice services, identifying potential risks, and improving reliability and operational visibility;\nDocumenting telephony architecture, configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.\nWhat Makes You a Great Candidate5+ years of experience working with VoIP, PBX, telecommunications, or similar infrastructure;\nHands-on experience configuring, administering, and troubleshooting PBX systems;\nGood understanding of VoIP technologies and protocols, including SIP, RTP, SRTP, and SIP trunking;\nExperience working with telecom providers, SIP trunks, VoIP gateways, and call routing;\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, firewalls, VPNs, QoS, and network security concepts, particularly in relation to VoIP services;\nExperience investigating complex telephony issues using logs, network captures, and diagnostic tools;\nAbility to evaluate technical solutions, communicate with vendors, and participate in infrastructure design and migration projects;\nAbility to work independently, take ownership of technical challenges, and collaborate with distributed teams;\nGood communication skills and proficiency in English.\nExtra Expertise We AppreciateExperience with PBX platforms such as Asterisk, FreeSwitch, 3CX, HoduCC, or similar solutions;\nExperience implementing or migrating cloud-based PBX solutions;\nFamiliarity with FortiGate firewalls;\nExperience working with telecommunications providers across multiple countries, particularly in African markets;\nExperience with contact center environments, including call queues, IVR, call recording, and agent management.\nWhy Choose pawaTech?We make an impact and contribute to shaping the iGaming culture;\nWe offer growth inside dedicated teams of seniors and career prospects;\nWe embrace a modern technological stack and innovative approaches;\nWe apply AI-driven tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and keep our teams ahead in innovation;\nWe value balance -
