As a licensed financial company with principal membership with card schemes, we specialize in global payments and providing businesses with multi-currency accounts.\n\nThe role is about:\nWe are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our APM team and help establish and strengthen dedicated QA practices within the team.\nCurrently, engineers are responsible for testing their own code, which can lead to issues being identified later in the development cycle. This role will help us catch issues earlier, improve release quality, reduce rework, and give engineers more time to focus on building and improving the product.\nThis is a hands-on, high-impact QA role combining test automation, API and backend testing, debugging, and manual testing when needed.\nYou will work closely with the APM Gateway engineering team, helping validate new features, understand system behaviour, identify issues, and continuously improve testing practices.\nWe are looking for someone who can take ownership of QA activities, understand systems deeply, and contribute to building a strong quality mindset within the team.\n\nLocation: Remote from Poland, Portugal (Contractor arrangement) or Cyprus Onsite (Relocation support provided)\nReporting to: Team Lead\n\nWhat you will do:\nBuild and maintain automated test frameworks using Python (PyTest, Playwright, Selenium)\nCreate and execute test cases based on new feature implementations\nPerform API and backend testing, ensuring correct system behaviour and data integrity\nConduct manual testing when needed to ensure full test coverage\nAnalyse logs and system flows to identify issues and understand root causes\nIdentify, document, and track defects with clear evidence and reproduction steps\nWork closely with the APM Gateway engineering team to validate features and system behaviour\nTake ownership of QA activities across the APM environment and help establish effective testing practices\nCollaborate closely with engineers and product teams to improve quality and delivery\nContribute to delivering stable, reliable software in a complex system environment\n\nWhat we need:\n3+ years of experience in QA Automation\nStrong hands-on experience with:\nPython\nPyTest\nPlaywright \nSelenium\nExperience with API and backend testing\nAbility to design and structure clear, maintainable test cases\nStrong debugging skills, including working with logs and system behaviour\nGood understanding of software testing principles and QA processes\nGood communication skills and ability to explain technical topics clearly\nComfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments\nA proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership\nNice to have:\nExperience in payments, fintech, or e-commerce platforms\nUnderstanding of transaction flows or distributed systems\nExposure to cloud-based environments or microservices architectures\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)\nHiring Process:\n Step 1 - Thinking in Action (40 minutes) Your first conversation will be with our Talent Acquisition team. This stage helps us understand both your experience and how you approach technical challenges.\n Step 2 - Build in Production (60-90 minutes) Meet with the Team Lead and technical experts for a practical assessment. Depending on the role, this may involve a live coding exercise or a real-world scenario designed to evaluate your technical skills, problem-solving approach, and ability to work through challenges similar to those faced by our teams.\n Step 3 - Final Interview (45 minutes) The final stage is a group interview with senior members of our Technology squad, which may include the CTO, CPO, and Team Lead. Together, we'll discuss team fit, collaboration style, expectations from both sides, and any remaining questions about the role, team, or technology domain.
