As a licensed financial company with principal membership with card schemes, we specialize in global payments and providing businesses with multi-currency accounts.\n\nThe role is about:\nWe are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our Banking team and help establish and strengthen dedicated QA practices within the team.\nAs a QA Engineer - Banking, you will help ensure the quality and reliability of our Core Banking and Payment platforms. You will work across automated and manual testing, with a strong focus on API, backend, integration, and transaction flows.\nThis is a hands-on QA Automation role where you will help identify issues early, improve test coverage, and make sure our banking services are stable, reliable, and ready for our customers.\nWe are looking for someone who can take ownership of QA activities, understand systems deeply, and contribute to building a strong quality mindset within the team.\n\nLocation: Remote from Poland, Portugal (Contractor arrangement) or Cyprus Onsite (Relocation support provided)\nReporting to: Team Lead\n\nWhat you will do:\nPerform end-to-end functional, integration, regression, and system testing for Core Banking and Payment platforms.\nBuild and maintain automated tests using Python (PyTest) and end-to-end browser automation tools such as Cypress and Playwright.\nCreate and execute test cases based on new feature implementations.\nParticipate in refinement sessions and provide QA input early in the development lifecycle.\nPrepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and coverage.\nPerform API and backend testing, ensuring correct system behaviour and data integrity.\nConduct manual testing when needed to ensure full test coverage.\nAnalyse logs and system flows to identify issues and understand root causes.\nIdentify, document, and track defects with clear evidence and reproducible steps.\nCollaborate closely with engineering and product teams to improve quality and delivery.\nContribute to delivering stable and reliable software in a complex banking environment.\n\nWhat we need:\n3+ years of QA automation experience.\nStrong hands-on experience with:\nPython\nPyTest\nCypress\nPlaywright\nStrong experience in functional and integration testing.\nExperience with API and backend testing.\nExperience testing payment or transaction flows and validating system behaviour and data integrity.\nGood understanding of payment processing, balances, and transaction data.\nAbility to design and structure clear, maintainable test cases.\nStrong debugging skills, including working with logs and system behaviour.\nGood communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics clearly.\nComfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.\nNice to have:\nExperience in Core Banking, Payments, FinTech, or e-commerce platforms.\nExperience with EUR and/or GBP payment flows.\nUnderstanding of ledger and balance management.\nExperience with transaction flows or distributed systems.\nExposure to cloud-based environments or microservices architectures.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.\nHiring Process:\n Step 1 - Thinking in Action (40 minutes) Your first conversation will be with our Talent Acquisition team. This stage helps us understand both your experience and how you approach technical challenges.\n Step 2 - Build in Production (60-90 minutes) Meet with the Team Lead and technical experts for a practical assessment. Depending on the role, this may involve a live coding exercise or a real-world scenario designed to evaluate your technical skills, problem-solving approach, and ability to work through challenges similar to those faced by our teams.\n Step 3 - Final Interview (45 minutes) The final stage is a group interview with senior members of our Technology squad, which may include the CTO, CPO, and Team Lead. Together, we'll discuss team fit, collaboration style, expectations from both sides, and any remaining questions about the role, team, or technology domain.
