The ideal candidate will have experience managing technical payment products, working closely with engineering teams, and interacting with merchants and business development teams. The role involves translating business and merchant requirements into scalable technical solutions while driving product strategy, development, and execution across the global payments ecosystem.\n\nThe candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions: \n\nProduct Strategy and Ownership: \nDefine and drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap for payment-related products.\nOwn the end-to-end product lifecycle, from requirement gathering and conceptualisation to development, launch, and optimisation.\nIdentify opportunities to enhance payment solutions based on merchant needs, business priorities, and market trends.\nTranslate business requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and technical requirements.\n\nTechnical Product Management: \nWork closely with engineering, design, and technology teams to build and enhance payment products and platforms.\nDevelop a strong understanding of payment APIs, integrations, webhooks, payment gateways, and transaction workflows.\nDrive product development around payment authorisation, capture, settlement, refunds, reconciliation, and chargebacks.\nEnsure seamless integration of payment solutions with merchant platforms and external payment partners.\nCollaborate with technical teams to resolve integration challenges and improve platform performance.\n\nMerchant and Business Development Interface: \nWork closely with merchants to understand their payment requirements, business challenges, and integration needs.\nAct as a bridge between merchants, business development, operations, and engineering teams.\nSupport business development teams during merchant discussions by providing product and technical insights.\nUnderstand merchant onboarding requirements, payment flows, and integration challenges, and translate them into actionable product improvements.\nCollaborate with BD and sales teams to identify new product opportunities and support merchant acquisition and retention.\n\nPayments, Compliance and Risk Management: \nDevelop and enhance payment solutions covering cross-border payments, global payment acceptance, and transaction processing.\nWork with Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams on AML, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and fraud prevention initiatives.\nMaintain an understanding of relevant financial regulations and card network requirements, including Visa and Mastercard.\nEnsure payment products are designed with scalability, security, and regulatory compliance in mind.\n\nProduct Performance and Optimisation: \nDefine and monitor product KPIs, including transaction success rates, payment failures, decline rates, conversion rates, and chargebacks.\nAnalyse transaction data, merchant feedback, and product performance to identify improvement opportunities.\nDrive initiatives to improve payment success rates, merchant experience, and overall platform efficiency.\n\nRequirements: \n5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, Product Management, or Payments Product Management.\nStrong understanding of the payment ecosystem, including payment gateways, payment processing, authorisation, settlement, refunds, and chargebacks.\nExperience working on technical products involving APIs, webhooks, third-party integrations, and payment platforms.\nPrior experience interacting with merchants and understanding their payment requirements and integration challenges.\nExperience working closely with Business Development, Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams.\nAbility to understand technical architecture and translate business requirements into product specifications.\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nUnderstanding of cross-border payments, global payment acceptance, and compliance frameworks will be an added advantage.\n\nPreferred Background: \nCandidates from FinTech, Payment Gateways, Payment Aggregators, Merchant Acquiring, Banking Technology, or Digital Payments companies.\nExperience working with merchant-facing payment products and enterprise payment integrations.\nExposure to global payment
