You are the go-to expert on payroll processes, local regulations and the\nconnection between People data and payroll outcomes.\nYou play a key role in building a scalable payroll model that grows with the organisation -\nbalancing local compliance with operational efficiency.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn end-to-end payroll operations across all Aceve countries\nManage payroll changes, validations and month-end audits\nEnsure compliance with local employment law and tax regulations per country\nMaintain accurate employee records in HiBob relevant to payroll\nAct as primary contact for payroll vendors and local payroll partners\nSupport the annual compensation review cycle from a payroll perspective\nDocument payroll processes and build backup ownership across the team\nIdentify and implement improvements to payroll accuracy and efficiency\nSupport onboarding of new countries or entities from a payroll setup perspective\nKey Result Areas\nPayroll accuracy rate On-time payroll delivery\nCompliance score per country Audit findings\nProfile\n4+ years of payroll experience in a multi-country European context\nKnowledge of payroll legislation in two or more Aceve countries (NL, SE, DK, NO, FI, DE,\nBE, PT)\nExperience working with HRIS and payroll systems\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines\nAbility to work independently and flag risks proactively\nFluency in English; additional European languages are a plus\nCompetencies\nPayroll Expertise: \nDeep knowledge of multi-country payroll\n\noperations, local legislation and compliance requirements.\n\nProcess Ownership:\nTakes full accountability for payroll accuracy, timeliness and audit readiness.\n\nRisk Awareness:\nProactively identifies compliance risks, country-specific changes and payroll\n\nvulnerabilities.\nCollaborative Partner: \nWorks closely with Finance, HRBPs and external vendors to ensure smooth payroll delivery.\n\nAceve Values\nBuild for the builder\nEvery decision starts with the people who use our product.
