Have a global impact on the world of payments.\nThe Principal Product Manager for Global Local Payment Methods is a senior strategic product role responsible for shaping Paysafe’s global approach to locally relevant payment methods across consumer and merchant environments.\nThe role focuses on expanding Local Payment Method coverage across existing and new geographies, improving payment choice and merchant acceptance, and ensuring Paysafe delivers scalable, commercially viable capabilities in priority markets.\nWorking closely with Engineering, Architecture, Platform, Delivery, Commercial, Partnerships, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Finance and Legal, the role defines product strategy, prioritises market opportunities, and supports third-party provider optimisation alongside the Partnerships team.\nWhat Paysafe stands for:\nBeing open and honest.\nKeeping focused.\nOperating with Courage.\nPioneering the future.\nHow we work:\nWe follow a hybrid working model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. House.\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategic Product Leadership\nDefine the global product strategy and roadmap for Local Payment Methods.\nPrioritise new payment methods, geographic expansion and platform capability enhancements.\nIdentify consumer payment trends, merchant needs, regulatory considerations and market opportunities.\nBuild business cases demonstrating commercial value, customer impact and strategic fit.\nEnsure Local Payment Methods support conversion, market reach, customer experience and commercial performance.\nMarket Expansion and Geographic Growth\nAssess new geography opportunities based on consumer behaviour, merchant demand, regulation, provider availability and commercial potential.\nDefine product requirements to support market entry and regional expansion.\nWork with regional, commercial, platform, delivery and operational teams to ensure launches are scalable and supportable.\nEstablish repeatable frameworks for evaluating and prioritising payment method expansion globally.\nConsumer and Merchant Experience\nDeep understanding of consumer and merchant needs across the full payment journey.\nChampion local payment choice, convenience, trust and checkout relevance.\nTranslate merchant needs into requirements for integration, settlement, reconciliation, refunds, reporting, disputes and support.\nUse data, customer insight and merchant feedback to improve conversion, payment success, cost efficiency and operational performance.\nThird-Party Provider and Commercial Support\nWork with the Partnerships team to assess and optimise Local Payment Method provider relationships.\nProvide product, market and performance insight to support provider selection, negotiations and ongoing management.\nEvaluate provider capabilities across coverage, reliability, cost, settlement, reporting, compliance, technical quality and merchant relevance.\nIdentify opportunities to improve provider performance, economics and operational outcomes.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration and Delivery\nCollaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Platform, Delivery, Commercial, Partnerships, Sales, Account Management, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Finance and Legal.\nAlign stakeholders around product priorities, roadmap decisions, platform dependencies and delivery plans.\nPartner with Platform and Delivery teams to translate strategy into executable initiatives, milestones and measurable outcomes.\nGuide Product Managers, Product Owners and delivery teams on epics, features, dependencies and success measures.\nAnticipate technical, operational, regulatory, platform and commercial risks, and shape mitigation plans.\nTechnical, Platform and Delivery Leadership\nPartner with Engineering, Architecture, Platform and Delivery teams to define scalable capabilities for Local Payment Method integration and expansion.\nEnsure requirements support consistent APIs, reporting, reconciliation, settlement, refunds, exception handling and operational visibility.\nPromote reusable, resilient and compliant platform capabilities that reduce time to market for new payment methods and geographies.\nEnsure initiatives are planned, sequenced and governed effectively across teams, systems and stakeholders.\nChallenge technical, platform and delivery assumptions to support long-term scalability, reliability and commercial sustainability.\nThought Leadership and Mentorship\nAct as a senior subject matter expert for Local Payment Methods across Paysafe.\nMentor Product Managers and Product Owners across payment method, gateway, acquiring, wallet and market expansion initiatives.\nRaise product management standards through structured prioritisation, clear business cases and measurable outcomes.\nRepresent Paysafe with clients, partners and industry stakeholders where required.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's or educational degree in Computer Science, Business or a related discipline, or experience in lieu of education.\n10+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, merchant acquiring, digital wallets, banking or B2B/B2B2C platforms.\nStrong experience with Local Payment Methods, alternative payment methods, consumer payments, merchant payments or regional payment ecosystems.\nProven experience supporting payment product expansion into new geographies.\nStrong understanding of consumer payment behaviour, merchant acceptance, checkout conversion, payment economics and operational requirements.\nExperience working with third-party payment providers, ideally alongside partnerships or commercial teams.\nAbility to define product strategy, build roadmaps and deliver complex cross-functional initiatives.\nStrong commercial acumen across revenue opportunity, cost models, pricing, provider economics and investment return.\nGood understanding of settlement, reconciliation, refunds, disputes, risk, compliance, APIs and platform architecture.\nStrong
