We’d love your help.\nAbout the Senior Backend Engineer role\nAs an engineer at Paystack, you will be at the forefront of our engineering team, driving the development and delivery of high-impact projects. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and reliable payment solutions. Your contribution will be crucial in shaping the technical direction of the company and mentoring other engineers to achieve their full potential.\nWe’ll trust you to\nDevelop, deploy & maintain complex software systems and services.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.\n\nEnsure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.\n\nConduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.\n\nIdentify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other technical issues.\n\nStay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.\n\nParticipate in the hiring process to attract and retain top engineering talent.\n\nYou’ll thrive in this role if you\n4+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of contributing to successful projects.\n\nExpertise in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript,\n\nTypescript, Python, or Go. We have a preference for Typescript.
