You'll work closely with leaders to build strong teams, plan for future talent needs, strengthen employee engagement, and help create an environment where people can do their best work.\nThis role combines business partnership with hands-on ownership of our people programs. You'll bring ideas to the table, help leaders navigate people challenges, and find practical ways to improve how we work, including using AI and automation to make our processes more efficient.\nWe're a small People Experience function, so we're looking for someone who can work independently while staying closely aligned with our broader people strategy and the way we support employees and leaders across Paystone. Reporting to the Director of People Experience, you'll have room to take ownership, make recommendations, and turn good ideas into meaningful improvements.\nWhat You'll Do\nPartner with leaders across Revenue and Operations to understand their goals, strengthen their teams, plan for talent needs, and navigate organizational and people challenges.\nCoach managers on team effectiveness, employee development, engagement, performance, and employee relations, helping them make thoughtful, informed decisions.\nOwn the delivery of key people programs, including onboarding, performance management, engagement, recognition, career development, and compensation, working with the Director of People Experience to bring our priorities to life.\nLook for opportunities to improve our programs and processes, using feedback, people data, and practical recommendations to make the employee and manager experience better.\nUse AI, automation, and technology to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and find smarter ways to deliver People Experience programs.\nSupport our globally distributed workforce, working with employees, managers, and Employer of Record (EOR) partners across different locations and employment arrangements.\nWhat You'll Bring\n5+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience in a People Partner or HR Business Partner role.\nExperience partnering with leaders on business and people priorities, with a strong understanding of how to build effective teams and support employee growth.\nThe ability to think beyond individual issues and connect your recommendations to broader people strategies, philosophies, and established practices.\nA track record of taking ownership, improving processes, and turning ideas into action.\nExperience using AI, automation, data, or technology to improve how work gets done, along with curiosity about what else is possible.\nStrong judgment, attention to detail, and organizational skills. You work independently, manage competing priorities, and follow through on your commitments.\nStrong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to coach managers, challenge thinking when needed, and build trust.\nWorking knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices.\nA degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Human Resources or a related field.\nBonus points if you have:\nExperience supporting Revenue, Sales, Customer Success, or Operations teams.\nExperience supporting remote, globally distributed teams or working with EOR providers.\nExperience with Leapsome, JazzHR, Asana, or similar HR and workflow platforms.\nExperience working in a growing organization where you've had to be resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable figuring things out.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nYou'll be a trusted partner to leaders, helping them build strong teams and make better people decisions.
