Mayo, is currently seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join their team.\nThe successful candidate will carry out high-quality TIG welding and finishing work, with a particular focus on stainless steel and light-gauge materials. This position requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce clean, precise welds to a high standard.\nExperience working within the pharmaceutical sector would be a significant advantage.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nPerform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel and other metals as required.\n\nWork accurately with light-gauge materials and precision-fabricated components.\n\nInterpret and work from engineering and fabrication drawings and specifications.\n\nPrepare materials and weld joints accurately prior to welding.\n\nAssemble and weld fabricated components and structures to the required standards.\n\nCarry out pre-weld preparation and post-weld finishing, including grinding and polishing.\n\nVisually inspect completed welds and identify and correct defects where required.\n\nEnsure completed work meets specified dimensions, tolerances and quality requirements.\n\nMaintain welding tools and equipment in safe and effective working condition.\n\nMaintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.\n\nFollow all relevant health, safety and quality procedures\n\nRequirements\nProven professional TIG welding experience.\n\nStrong experience welding stainless steel to high-quality, fine-tolerance standards.\n\nExperience working with light-gauge materials, typically in the region of 1mm to 5mm thickness.\n\nAbility to accurately read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.\n\nStrong knowledge of weld preparation, TIG welding techniques and finishing processes.\n\nExperience with grinding and polishing to achieve clean, high-quality finishes.\n\nExcellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.\n\nGood understanding of fabrication processes and material properties.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nStrong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.\n\nDesirable\nPrevious TIG welding experience within the pharmaceutical sector would be a significant advantage.\n\nExperience working within other high-specification manufacturing environments.\n\nBroader fabrication or sheet metal experience.\n\nWhat's on Offer\nFull-time permanent position.\n\nOvertime available on occasion, paid at time and a half.\n\nYear-end bonus provided in the form of a Swirl card.\n\nShort-term accommodation assistance may be available if required.\n\nOpportunity to work within a specialist precision fabrication environment supporting the pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors.\n\nApplications are now open for experienced TIG Welders interested in joining a specialist manufacturing business in Co.
