Assists in coordinating department awareness events and maintains department website. Accurately updates and maintains time-sensitive records regarding Department of Education federal grant guidelines. This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.What a day of a TRiO Representative looks like:\nProvides information to the public, students, and staff regarding programs and services of a department, campus, or College. Conducts informational sessions.\n\nProcesses purchase requisitions, travel, and purchasing card transactions, prepares payroll, and assists with budget activities.\n\nWelcomes and assists persons who come into the department.\n\nCompletes monthly reports including budgeting, time reporting, and student rosters. Reviews reports, documents, applications, and forms for accuracy and completeness.\n\nDesigns, edits, and produces brochures, catalogs, newsletters, reports, flyers, posters, or certificates.\n\nDesigns complex spreadsheets, with multiple function formulas and links.\n\nPerforms sorts and merges, prints mass mailings, selects font attributes, and changes.\n\nHandles incoming, interoffice, and outgoing mail.\n\nOversees and supervises the work of student assistants.\n\nPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.\n\nWe’d love to hear from you if you have the following:\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED\n\nOne year of related experience\n\nKnowledge of:\nMicrosoft Office Professional or similar application\n\nSkilled in:\nAttention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management\n\nDelivering a high level of customer service\n\nPerforming with a high degree of accuracy\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to:\nEffectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service\n\nLicenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:\nRegular physical attendance required\n\nPreferred, but not a must:\nKnowledge of:\nExcel, Publisher, Word, and Power-Point\n\nWork Environment and Physical Demand:\nReach and grasp objects\n\nStoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl\n\nUse of video display terminal\n\nUse of manual dexterity and fine motor skills\n\nIdentify and distinguish colors and shades of color\n\nCommunicate information orally and in writing\n\nReceive and understand information through oral and written communication\n\nProofread and check documents for accuracy\n\nWork a fluctuating work schedule\n\nThis job description is intended to be generic in nature and describe the essential functions of the job.
