knowledge.\nRole Overview\nThe BIBA Team Lead will serve as the central point of coordination between business stakeholders, analytics teams, and technical delivery functions, ensuring the consistent implementation of reporting standards, governance frameworks, and business intelligence best practices.\nThe successful candidate will lead a team of Business Intelligence Business Analysts (BIBA), provide guidance to self-service BI practitioners, and work closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers, BI Developers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and governed reporting solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nReporting Standards & Governance\nDefine and maintain reporting standards, naming conventions, and BI best practices across the organisation.\n\nEstablish and govern certified datasets, semantic models, and reusable reporting assets.\n\nDrive adherence to data governance policies and reporting quality standards.\n\nImplement and maintain report review and publication processes.\n\nSupport governance of the Power BI environment, including security and access controls.\n\nBusiness Requirements Leadership\nFacilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across multiple business areas.\n\nAnalyse, document, and prioritise reporting and analytics requirements.\n\nEnsure alignment between business requirements and technical delivery teams.\n\nCollaborate with Data Architects and Data Engineering teams to ensure reporting requirements are technically feasible and effectively implemented.\n\nTeam Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement\nLead, mentor, coach, and develop Business Intelligence Business Analysts.\n\nAllocate workload and oversee delivery across the BIBA function.\n\nProvide functional guidance to self-service BI developers and analysts within business units.\n\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.\n\nFacilitate communities of practice to drive consistency and knowledge sharing.\n\nReporting Governance & Platform Oversight\nEnsure reporting solutions meet governance, security, and quality requirements.\n\nOversee Power BI workspace governance and row-level security standards.\n\nMonitor reporting platform usage, performance, licensing, and capacity considerations.\n\nPromote data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting solutions.\n\nDocumentation & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop and maintain reporting standards, operating procedures, and knowledge repositories.\n\nChampion continuous improvement initiatives within the BI and analytics landscape.\n\nStay abreast of emerging Power BI, data governance, and analytics trends and best practices.\n\nContribute to the evolution of BI governance frameworks and delivery methodologies.\n\nRequired Experience & Skills\nEssential Experience\nMinimum 7 years' experience in Business Intelligence, Business Analysis, Reporting, or Data Analytics environments.\n\nProven experience leading or coordinating BI teams, reporting functions, or governance initiatives.\n\nStrong experience gathering, documenting, and prioritising business requirements.\n\nDemonstrated experience implementing and enforcing reporting standards and data governance practices.\n\nExperience working within complex, cross-functional environments involving multiple stakeholders.\n\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced Power BI knowledge, including:\nSemantic modelling\n\nStar schema design\n\nCertified datasets\n\nRow-level security\n\nPower BI governance\n\nStrong SQL proficiency (non-negotiable).\n\nSolid understanding of data warehousing and reporting architectures.\n\nKnowledge of data governance principles and best practices.\n\nFamiliarity with ETL and data integration processes.\n\nUnderstanding of BI platform administration, security, and performance optimisation.\n\nLeadership & Soft Skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n\nExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.\n\nAbility to influence and lead across matrixed teams.\n\nStrong facilitation and requirements elicitation skills.\n\nExperience mentoring, coaching, and developing teams.\n\nExcellent documentation and process management capability.\n\nQualifications\nDegree or Diploma in:\nInformation
