Group is looking for experienced Mainframe Developers to join our team in Cape Town on a hybrid contract basis.\nWe are looking for developers with strong COBOL and DB2 experience who have solid hands-on experience within mainframe environments and are comfortable working across the development lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, maintain and enhance applications within a mainframe environment.\n\nDesign, code, test and implement solutions using COBOL and DB2.\n\nAnalyse business and technical requirements and translate these into effective technical solutions.\n\nPerform application enhancements, maintenance and troubleshooting.\n\nDevelop and optimise DB2 queries and database solutions.\n\nInvestigate and resolve production issues and system defects.\n\nParticipate in code reviews, testing and quality assurance activities.\n\nCollaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders and other delivery teams.\n\nProduce and maintain technical documentation.\n\nSupport continuous improvement and ensure solutions align with development and architectural standards.\n\nKey Requirements\nProven experience as a Mainframe Developer.\n\nStrong hands-on COBOL development experience.\n\nStrong DB2 experience.\n\nSolid understanding of mainframe development environments and SDLC processes.\n\nExperience with application maintenance, enhancements and production support.\n\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a development team.\n\nGood communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\n\nAdvantageous\nExperience with additional mainframe technologies and tools.\n\nExperience within financial services or other large enterprise environments.\n\nExposure
