Our strategy includes building teams across our global network to pioneer and shape the future of PCI.\nWe are now looking for a Maintenance Technician (Permanent role) to join our team in Stamullen, County Meath.\nThis is a Day Shift role, covering Monday to Wednesday 12 hours shift (7pm to 7am).\nSummary of Role:\nResponsible for ensuring machine change over’s, stoppages and breakdowns are undertaken in a timely manner to targets and with minimum disruption to production schedules.\n\nUndertake planned routine maintenance and maintain schedules ensuring that all equipment and plant are able to operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP practices.\n\nFault find to an expert level on Electrical and Mechanical systems.\n\nMultiskilled able to program PLC’s and to participate in technically involved projects to improve or create new processes.\n\nMechanically able to design systems and develop to implementation.\n\nImplement continuous improvements on equipment and carry out to a high standard within GMP guidelines.\n\nCreate MOC’s and manage through the QMS.\n\nCreate design of experiments and use other fault-finding techniques to improve processes.\n\nResponsibilities:\nEnsure safe work practices are being followed at all times, report any near misses immediately to the EHS Department.\n\nEnsure that maintenance areas and equipment are kept in a clean, tidy and secure state (including storage areas).\n\nAdherence and recording of defined routine maintenance schedules; covering all equipment and plant.\n\nRapid and flexible attention to all breakdowns/stoppages to minimise loss of production, liaising with Engineering Supervisor and Operational Engineering Manager.\n\nCarry out/Participate in A3 Problem solving activities on major issues and lead to Root cause.\n\nAnalysis of equipment redesign of any systems/equipment to improve process.\n\nPlanning and implementation of engineering improvement projects, designing and developing to Validation.\n\nAdvise Engineering Supervisor and Operational Engineering Manager of any machine or plant which requires major repair or maintenance.\n\nHighlight potential areas for improvement within Production area regarding equipment or procedural changes.\n\nLiaise with Production on identifying areas for continuous improvement and implement changes using correct change procedure.\n\nStrip down, cleaning and reassembling of production equipment as per routine maintenance schedules.\n\nPerform machine set-ups and changeovers to target times as required in line with production requirements.\n\nTo actively assist in looking at ways to improve changeover times by procedure and method.\n\nEnsure the timely and accurate completion of all documentation and paperwork such as tooling logs, setting sheets, online working sheets, PPM sheets.\n\nImprove and maintain the levels of current Good Manufacturing Practice.\n\nAssist with the training of colleagues as required.\n\nThe use of workshop equipment to manufacture piece parts and repair as required.\n\nAssist with projects on trials, and new product introductions as required.\n\nCarry out various other additional tasks that may be required from time to time in accordance with the overall goal of the company.\n\nKnowledge / Skills & Experience:\nEssential:\nAdvanced Certificate (Craft- level 6 NFQ) in a mechanical or electrical discipline. Bachelor’s or Associate Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Certificate in Engineering. May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements.\n\n4 years’ experience.\n\nProven track record of showing how results were delivered through management/leadership.\n\nCapability to follow set clear goals, communicate these clearly and ensure progress to completion meeting predefined targets.\n\nAbility to manage multiple tasks.\n\nProblem Solving and Troubleshooting skills. The successful candidate should display a dynamic and proactive approach to manage problems.\n\nSelf-motivated with a results driven approach.\n\nFlexibility to work across different shifts on request in line with business needs.\n\nAdaptable and ability to work collaboratively.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office products (incl. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)\n\nTake care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).\n\nCo-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety, or welfare.\n\nDesirable:\nExperience in a GMP or Regulated Environment.\n\nExperience in Lean Manufacturing, including experience in Lean tools to develop continuous improvements.\n\nJoin us and be part of building the bridge between life changing therapies and patients.
