Our strategy includes building teams across our global network to pioneer and shape the future of PCI.\nResponsibilities:\nLead and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities across all shifts.\nDirectly manage mechanical managers and reliability supervisors and ensure clear communication, accountability, and performance alignment across the workforce.\nEnsure proper staffing, coverage, and skill distribution to meet production and maintenance requirements.\nEstablish standardized shift handoff processes to ensure continuity and visibility of work.\nLead maintenance operations within a unionized workforce environment, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.\nServe as primary liaison between management and union representatives for maintenance-related matters.\nAddress grievances, disciplinary actions, and workforce concerns in alignment with HR and labor agreements.\nPromote a culture of fairness, accountability, and engagement while maintaining operational standards.\nCollaborate with HR on workforce planning, contract interpretation, and negotiations support.\nMonitor overtime, scheduling efficiency, and labor utilization.\nOwn and continuously improve the Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs.\nImplement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices to maximize equipment uptime and asset life.\nLead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes for equipment failures.\nDevelop and track key metrics such as:\no MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure)\no MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)\no Equipment uptime and downtime trends\no Ensure optimal stocking levels to support uptime while minimizing excess inventory.\nPartner with procurement to manage vendor relationships, lead times, and cost control.\nImplement systems for:\nCritical spare identification\nInventory accuracy and cycle counts\nObsolescence reduction\nApply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to maintenance processes.\nLead initiatives focused on:\no Reduced downtime\no Improved changeovers\no Increased labor productivity\nCollaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain to meet operational objectives.\nSupport installation and startup of new equipment and capital projects.\nEnsure proper training, documentation, and integration into maintenance systems.\nDevelop visual management systems and standard work practices.\nManage department budget, including labor, parts, and capital expenditures.\nDevelop and track KPIs related to maintenance performance and cost.\nIdentify and deliver cost-saving initiatives without compromising reliability or safety.\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and company standards.\nPromote safe work practices across all shifts and teams.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nMechanical Managers\nReliability Supervisors\nMechanical Trainers\nOversight of a multi-shift maintenance organization supporting 24/7 operations.\nResponsible for employee performance management, workforce planning, development, and succession planning.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related\ntechnical discipline preferred.\nMinimum 5 years leading maintenance teams in a unionized manufacturing facility.\nPharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, or advanced manufacturing experience strongly preferred.\nExperience supporting 24/7 shift operations.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS:\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of workforce including internal and external customers.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS:\nGood math and computer skills\nKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:\nExtensive knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing equipment, and maintenance best practices.\nStrong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and GMP requirements.\nExperience supporting:\no Advanced drug delivery systems\no Bottle and vial processing equipment\no Sterilization technologies\nHigh-speed packaging systems\no Automated production equipment\n• Strong reliability engineering and asset management expertise.\n• Experience with CMMS systems (SAP or equivalent).\n• Strong leadership, coaching, and labor relations skills.\n• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.\n• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.\nJoin us and be part of building the bridge between life changing therapies and patients.
