This specialized engineering group develops and implements innovative structural precast concrete systems and solutions.\nIn this role, you will perform structural analysis and design of concrete components and connections, support the engineering phase of commercial and industrial building projects, and assist with the development and implementation of new products and systems. Additionally, you will prepare drawings, engineering packages, testing reports, and field notes.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong analytical and computer skills, a solid foundation in concrete design, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAll employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to maintain a safe work environment and ensure high-quality products.\nDesign structural concrete components and connections using engineering principles, analysis, and applicable design standards.\nManage assigned engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with Sales, Estimating, Project Management, Operations, Production, and Quality Control.\nCoordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders as needed.\nPerform or coordinate engineering and detailing work completed by internal personnel or outside design firms.\nDesign and coordinate portions of more complex projects under the guidance of a Lead or Senior Engineer.\nVisit project sites to monitor progress and verify conformance with design requirements; prepare inspection reports and assist with field repairs as needed.\nWork with Production and Quality Control to identify and resolve design, fabrication, buildability, and other project-related issues.\nProvide project support during fabrication and construction, including troubleshooting and communication with internal and external stakeholders.\nLead or coordinate the work of one or more designers on assigned projects, as needed.\nAssist with prototyping, testing, and implementation of new products and structural systems.\nPrepare engineering reports, test documentation, field notes, and other project-related documentation.\nTravel to construction sites as needed to provide technical support, communicate with clients, monitor erection progress, and provide training on standard processes.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEducation & Qualifications\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering field required.\nMaster's degree preferred.\nLicenses/Certifications:\nEIT certification preferred.\nExperience:\nInternship or work experience with a contractor, engineering firm, precast concrete manufacturer, or fabrication operation strongly preferred.\nExperience with structural concrete design and analysis preferred.\nSkills & Technical Knowledge:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nCoursework or experience in structural and concrete design.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, production personnel, project teams, and customers.\nAbility to learn and apply new engineering software and technology.\nMachines, Tools, and Equipment Used:\nAllplan, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MathCAD, MATLAB, Microsoft Office, ETABS, RISA or
