Local amenities allow for a relaxed pace of life with multiple natural recreation sites nearby (i.e. GA and FL State Parks, FL Gulf Coast).\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nEducate medical students in pharmacology across a two-year preclinical curriculum with a primary focus on chemotherapeutic agents including anti-infectives and antineoplastics.\n\nCreate educationally appropriate assessment questions for osteopathic students.\n\nServe in leadership and membership capacities on college and campus committees.\n\nEvaluate student progress in learning appropriate medical and scientific knowledge. Communicate these evaluations to the student and administrative/faculty members as appropriate.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nThree (3) years of teaching experience is required, preferably in a medical school.\n\nExperience in teaching pharmacology is required.\n\nExperience in active learning is preferred.\n\nExperience in a collaborative approach to education is preferred.\n\nOpen to non-traditional research.\n\nEDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:\nA Ph.D. in Pharmacology (or related field) or Pharm.D. degree is required.\n\nCompensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, education, and the responsibilities of the role.\nThe referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting.
