Our current environment includes ColdFusion, SQL Server, and a mix of supporting technologies, but the direction is toward open source tools, modern REST-backed applications, and static web assets.\nWe want someone who can be productive in the current environment without being frustrated by change, and who is energized by the chance to help shape what comes next.\nWhat You’ll Do\nMaintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing ColdFusion applications\nBuild new functionality using a more modern approach, centered on REST APIs, static front-end assets, and open source technologies\nWrite and maintain SQL Server queries and application-side data logic as part of day-to-day development\nHelp modernize existing systems in practical, incremental ways\nParticipate in technical exploration, prototyping, and solution design\nWork in a team with a wide variety of technical backgrounds, interests, and specialties\nHelp choose, test, and stand up the tools and environments needed to move development forward\nAdd jQuery after Javascript. \n\nWhat We’re Looking ForRequired\nExperience building or maintaining web applications in ColdFusion\nStrong working knowledge of SQL, especially in a SQL Server environment\nExperience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and web application fundamentals\nFamiliarity with REST APIs\nAbility to work independently and solve technical problems directly\nCuriosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new tools and approaches\nPreferredExperience moving applications away from commercial or legacy platforms toward open source solutions\nExperience setting up your own development environments, servers, containers, labs, or test systems\nInterest in infrastructure, deployment, or full-stack troubleshooting\nExperience with static web architectures, API-driven applications, or modern lightweight web stacks\nComfort evaluating new tools and learning by building\nWho Will Do Well HereThis role is ideal for a developer who:\nCan handle ColdFusion now, but does not need it to be their forever future\nEnjoys learning by doing\nLikes to build their own server, test ideas, and figure things out\nGets excited by new tools, new platforms, and the freedom to explore\nWants to work in an environment with a wide range of technical disciplines, both human and machine\nAppreciates having access to the equipment, tools, knowledge, and technology needed to do the job well\nWhy This Role Is DifferentWe support developers who like to build.\nYou will be in an environment where experimentation, learning, and technical curiosity are valued.
