Maintain formal documentation of all quality occurrences for improvement, training, and company betterment.\nAdhere to PDM’s Core Values:\nRelationship Building: We foster long-term positive relationships with fellow employee-owners, external partners and our communities.\nAccountability: We consistently demonstrate a high level of personal accountability. \nUrgency: We operate with a sense of urgency.\nInnovation: We embrace growth and change.\nCreate Return on Efforts: We create positive results on all our efforts.\nPillars: 1) Safety, 2) Quality, 3) Happiness, 4) Performance\nResponsibilities and Areas of Accountability:\nLearn & understand company safety policies and procedures and promote compliance.\nAssist in the transformation of the shop floor culture to one of Continuous Improvement and Accountability. \nDemonstrate reliability through exceptional attendance.\nEmbrace and enhance a positive culture.\nBecome proficient in AWS D1.1 welding standards\nMaster documentation of Quality Control testing and inspection records.\nGain proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawings.\nPerform housekeeping responsibilities and implement/follow 5S organizational methodology.\nMark products with identification and appropriate visual markings per PDM’s Quality Control documentation.\nConduct and maintain documentation of: pre-fabrication inspections, post-fabrication inspections, shop drawing corrections, tape measure calibration, mill tester calibration, stud welding tests.\nInform management of any nonconformity of product or equipment issues.\nPerform duties in a professional manner.\nWork closely with management to ensure that all Quality Control duties are performed. \nWork closely with production personnel on meeting and exceeding product quality.\nSupport safety and production programs.\nRequirements\nKnowledge & Skills:\nBlueprint reading/interpretation\nComprehension of AWS weld callouts\nInterpreting section and projected views of a 2D drawing\nGMAW (MIG) Welding Experience\nMinimum 6+ months on the job experience in flat and horizontal positions\nFCAW (fluxcore) is a plus\nGeneral use of hand and power tools \nAngle grinder, hammers, chisels, pry bars, clamps\nLayout tools\nTape measure, squares, bevel squares, levels (all within 1/16”) \nOxy/Fuel Cutting Torch\nSafe operation and ability to cut materials ranging in ¼”-1” in thickness\nForklift Experience is a plus\nOverhead crane operation is a plus\nGeneral understanding of safe practices, methods and use of PPE\nBasic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.\nApplicants must be able to walk and stand on feet for extended period of time, lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs, crawl on hands and knees, climb a ladder and be able to work long hours.
