This hands-on platform engineering role combines AWS architecture expertise with advanced Terraform development, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, Linux/Unix administration, and infrastructure scripting. In addition to Pharmacy Benefit Administrative Services, we offer 340B Administration, Hospice and Long-Term Care Services.\nWhy Join Us:\nBest Employer: PDMI was voted Best Employer in Ohio for the 6th consecutive year in 2026! \nMeaningful Work: Contribute to improving healthcare quality and efficiency. \nCollaborative Environment: Work with passionate professionals who share your drive. \nExciting Challenges: Every day brings new opportunities to excel. \n Flexible Work: Fully remote opportunity (from approved locations within the U.S.) with a company that cares. \nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and, where appropriate, CloudFormation across multi-account AWS environments. \nBuild reusable Terraform modules and automation that teams can apply consistently across environments. \nApply AWS architecture, networking, IAM, security, resilience, and provisioning best practices. \nBuild, improve, and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, ArgoCD, or similar tools. \nShift security, testing, policy validation, and compliance checks earlier in the delivery lifecycle. \nDevelop Terraform-based integrations that enforce enterprise compliance requirements in CI/CD workflows. \nAutomate infrastructure and operational processes using Terraform, Python, Bash, and Shell scripting. \nSupport deployments across containerized environments, Kubernetes clusters, and data platforms. \nTroubleshoot complex pipelines and infrastructure spanning AWS, multi-cloud, and on-premises environments. \nRespond to incidents and resolve complex infrastructure, deployment, networking, and platform issues. \nImprove platform reliability, observability, performance, capacity, and cost efficiency through automation. \nUse AI-assisted engineering tools to improve infrastructure development, scripting, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating outputs for accuracy, security, and alignment with organizational standards. \nDevelop and maintain automation using the AWS CLI, Python, Bash, and/or Shell to provision, configure, manage, and troubleshoot AWS resources across multiple accounts and environments. \nDesign, implement, and validate highly available and resilient AWS infrastructure using multi-region architectures, load balancing, automated scaling, health monitoring, and tested failover procedures. \nMentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns, and best practices. \nQualifications - Education, Experience, Certifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. \n10+ years of combined experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering required. \n5+ years of hands-on experience designing, provisioning, and supporting AWS infrastructure required. \n5+ years of experience developing production Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation required. \n5+ years of experience supporting Linux/Unix systems, Kubernetes, and containerized environments required. \n5+ years of experience automating infrastructure and operational processes using Python, Bash, Shell, or similar scripting languages required. \n5+ years of experience using GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar source-control platforms, including 3+ years building CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, CodeBuild, or similar tools required. \nStrong understanding of AWS architecture, cloud networking, security, IAM, and compliance required. \nAWS certification, preferably architecture-focused, preferred. \nExperience automating security and compliance controls within CI/CD pipelines preferred. \nExperience with multi-account AWS, multi-cloud, and hybrid or on-premises environments preferred. \nExperience supporting AI, data science, or other data-intensive workloads preferred.\nAdditional Information:\nPDMI is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other legally protected characteristic.
