Regional Sales Development

Job description

We are looking for a highly driven Regional Sales professional to expand our business presence beyond Malaysia and Singapore.

This role focuses on actively developing new international markets, identifying business opportunities, and driving sales growth across regional territories.

The successful candidate must be a hunter-type salesperson who is proactive in market penetration, customer acquisition, and overseas business development — not purely enquiry-based selling.

Key Responsibilities

Market Development & Sales Growth

•         Develop and grow export sales markets within Southeast Asia
•         Identify and penetrate new countries, industries, and distribution channels
•         Actively source and acquire new customers, distributors, and partners
•         Execute strategic market entry plans for new territories
•         Achieve and exceed assigned monthly sales targets

Business Development

•         Conduct market research and competitor analysis for target regions
•         Generate leads through cold outreach, networking, exhibitions, and industry connections
•         Build long-term relationships with international clients and distributors
•         Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and commercial negotiations

Overseas Market Penetration

•         Travel overseas to develop new markets and visit customers when required
•         Represent the company at international exhibitions, trade shows, and business meetings
•         Establish strong on-ground market presence to accelerate market expansion

Reporting & Coordination

•         Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence
•         Work closely with internal teams on order fulfilment and customer requirements
•         Participate in management meetings held in Singapore when required

Requirements

•         Diploma / Degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or related field
•  Minimum 2–5 years experience in Export Sales / International Business Development
•         Proven track record in regional or international market expansion
•         Strong hunter mentality with ability to open new markets independently
•         Experience dealing with distributors, overseas clients, or regional accounts
•         Willing and able to travel internationally for business development
•         Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
•         Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working with sales targets

Work Location

•  Based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia / Remote
•         Frequent collaboration and meetings in Singapore office
•         Overseas travel required
