The salary range for this position is $56,500-$74,000 annually.\nDuties will Include:\nResponsible for mapping, drafting, plotting related exercises \nRead and interpret Legal Documentation such as contractual agreements, sale contracts, deeds, property descriptions, boundary surveys, etc.\nDemonstrate knowledge, or ability to learn/understand functional use of internal Land Management System to generate applicable reports and maps.\nUtilize various GIS applications, such as ArcGIS, to integrate property boundaries associated with property control and survey file editing and drafting.\nPerform GIS database maintenance and analysis using ArcGIS software \nCreate, translate and integrate GIS data layers, and digitize new data using a variety of software \nUtilize various AutoCad applications, such as Carlson/SurvCad \nEnsure the accuracy and completeness of mapping data \nSpecial projects and as-assigned departmental tasks \nAssist engineering, environmental, and land with updating maps and files to reflect status of operations and facilities at various locations. \nWorking knowledge of excel spreadsheets and ability to enter/interpret data. \nProvide technical support and training to end-users of mapping systems\nThe lifestyle:\nThis position is a full-time role working Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm CST. Peabody offers flexible work policies, including hybrid office/home working arrangements.\nAbout you:\nAssociate’s degree in surveying, engineering technology, computer science or related field required; Bachelors preferred in Surveying, engineering technology, computer science or related field. \nProficiency with AutoCAD / Carlson SurvCAD Software and .dwg files.\nProficiency with ArcGIS and .shp files for related mapping software, and management of geo databases.\nProficiency with GoogleEarth and creation/manipulation of KMZ files.\nProficiency in the ability to interpret and convert data into AutoCAD from various formats.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\nStrong Communication stills including verbal and written.\nMust demonstrate strong analytical skills.\nSelf-motivated and execution focused.\nAttention to detail and confidentiality.\nHigh proficiency in web-based computer applications.\nAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with all management levels, intercompany departments, and operational personnel\n3 years’ experience in field related to mapping, surveying, or similar computer applications preferred\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting\nor standing\nMust have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment\nMust be able to use a computer\nMust have the ability to communicate effectively\nSome positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists,\nhands, and/or fingers\nAbout Peabody:\nPeabody is a leading coal producer, providing essential products for the production of affordable, reliable energy & steel.
