With over a 25-year-plus mine life, Centurion is positioned to lead the future of underground coal mining through safety, innovation and operational excellence.\nThe Opportunity\nPeabody is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Engineering & Maintenance team at Centurion Mine, located approximately 160 kilometres west of Mackay.\nReporting to the Manager Engineering & Maintenance, you will play a critical role in coordinating and planning maintenance activities across the underground operation. Your focus will be on maximising equipment reliability, improving maintenance efficiency, and supporting safe and productive outcomes across site.\nYour Impact\nDevelop, issue and maintain maintenance schedules for underground equipment and project activities.\nCoordinate maintenance requirements with production teams to ensure efficient and effective execution of work.\nConvert asset management plans, inspections, defect reports and service findings into executable work orders.\nManage maintenance backlogs, identify scheduling constraints and proactively address potential risks.\nMonitor maintenance compliance and performance, providing weekly reporting and recommendations.\nRaise purchase orders for maintenance services and equipment components.\nManage the work order lifecycle, ensuring accurate SAP data and timely close-out of completed work.\nLiaise with operational leaders, contractors and maintenance personnel to optimise resource allocation.\nSupport equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement activities across the operation.\nProvide weekly maintenance schedules and supporting documentation to operational stakeholders.\nAbout You\nYou are a trade-qualified maintenance professional who thrives in a fast-paced mining environment and understands the importance of effective planning in achieving operational success.\nMechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification.\nDemonstrated experience in a Maintenance Planner or similar role within mining, heavy industry or resources.\nStrong understanding of maintenance planning and execution methodologies.\nPrevious experience using SAP or similar maintenance management systems.\nAbility to analyse equipment reliability and maintenance performance trends.\nSound knowledge of risk management processes, permits, JSEAs and site safety systems.\nStrong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.\nProven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.\nHigh level of computer literacy and attention to detail.\nWhat’s on Offer\n9-day fortnight roster (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday).\nFlexible residential (Moranbah), DIDO or FIFO from Brisbane arrangements.\nDomestic relocation assistance available in accordance with company policy.\nModern accommodation village with premium facilities and meals.\nOnsite gym, fitness facilities and group fitness classes.\nEmployee assistance program and wellbeing support.\nNovated leasing options and WHEREFIT lifestyle benefits.\nEmployee recognition programs.\nOngoing learning, career development and advancement opportunities.\nLong-term career stability with a world-class operation and significant mine life.\nAbout Peabody\nPeabody is a leading coal producer, employing approximately 5,300 people across operations in the United States and Australia, serving customers in 18 countries.
