With a 25+ year mine life, Centurion is positioned to lead the future of underground coal mining through safety, innovation and operational excellence.\nThe Opportunity\nPeabody is seeking an experienced Conveyor Engineer to join our team at Centurion Mine, located approximately 160 kilometres west of Mackay.\nReporting to the relevant operational leader, you will provide technical leadership and engineering support for critical bulk materials handling and conveyor systems across the operation. You will play a key role in ensuring conveyor assets operate safely, reliably and efficiently to support production objectives and long-term operational performance.\nWorking closely with maintenance, operations, engineering and project teams, you will identify improvement opportunities, optimise asset performance and deliver engineering solutions that enhance reliability, safety and productivity.\nYour Impact\nProvide technical engineering support for conveyor and bulk materials handling systems.\nDrive reliability improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance and availability.\nIdentify asset risks and develop engineering solutions to improve safety and operational outcomes.\nSupport maintenance strategies, defect elimination and continuous improvement programs.\nConduct engineering investigations, root cause analyses and failure reviews.\nCollaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimise conveyor system performance.\nManage engineering projects and modifications from concept through to implementation.\nEnsure compliance with engineering standards, statutory obligations and company requirements.\nAbout You\nYou are a technically capable engineer who enjoys balancing hands-on operational support with long-term strategic improvements.
