With a 25+ year mine life, Centurion is positioned to lead the future of underground coal mining through safety, innovation and operational excellence.\nThe Opportunity\nPeabody is seeking an experienced Outbye Mining Coordinator to join the team at our Centurion underground mine, located approximately 160 kilometres west of Mackay.\nReporting to the Outbye Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing outbye mining activities that support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the mine. This role plays a critical part in managing infrastructure, roadway development, services installations, contractor activities and operational readiness to ensure mining operations are supported safely and effectively.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced underground mining professional who is passionate about safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement within a dynamic underground environment.\nYour Impact\nCoordinate outbye mining activities to support safe and uninterrupted underground operations.\nLead the planning and execution of infrastructure, roadway and service-related work programs.\nEnsure outbye work activities are aligned with the mine plan and operational requirements.\nMonitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.\nCoordinate contractor activities and ensure compliance with all site standards and expectations.\nCollaborate with production, maintenance and technical teams to achieve operational objectives.\nInvestigate operational issues and implement practical solutions to minimise disruption.\nManage work schedules, resource allocation and activity tracking.\nMaintain compliance documentation, inspections and statutory records.\nPromote a proactive safety culture through risk identification, hazard management and visible leadership in the field.\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory, statutory and site requirements.\nAbout You\nYou are a safety-focused leader who thrives in a challenging underground mining environment and enjoys coordinating multiple workstreams to deliver operational results.
