This role involves technical planning, design, engaging geotechnical consultants and coordination, with a strong emphasis on design, sequencing, and effective stakeholder engagement.\nLifestyle-friendly Monday-Friday roster, with potential for alternative arrangements to suit business needs or secure top talent.\nResponsibilities will include:\nLead mining engineering and technical support for the Wambo Tailings Rehabilitation Projects.\nDevelop and manage designs and operational sequencing plans.\nLiaise with the open cut mine operator to coordinate mine waste material supply and logistics.\nProvide engineering and technical support into mining and infrastructure designs at other Peabody Operations in Australia.\nCollaborate with site teams and project stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational and environmental objectives.\nSupport approvals processes through technical documentation and design validation.\nContribute to project planning, budgeting, and reporting.\nAssist with any special projects that arise within the Technical Services Group, including but not limited to, Business Development, Continuous Improvement initiatives, Software Evaluation\nEnsure compliance with Peabody’s safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.\nTravel to other Peabody sites as required to support mining and infrastructure initiatives.\nAbout You :\nBachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.\nExtensive experience in open-cut and underground mining operations.\nProven experience in mine design, rehabilitation planning, and mine infrastructure.\nStrong proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, AutoCAD, Spry).\nExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.\nCurrent Australian Driver’s License.\nWhat we offer:\n Local living benefit: Salary sacrifices up to 50% of mortgage interest or rental payments (for eligible employees).\n Relocation assistance (where applicable).\nDiscounted Private Health\nThe opportunity to reduce tax through Novated vehicle leasing options.\nOver 2,000 h ealth and wellness benefits through WHEREFIT.\nAccess to our Employee Assistance Program for you and your immediate family.\nEmployee recognition and reward programs.\nAbout Peabody:\nPeabody is a leading coal producer, providing essential products for the production of affordable, reliable energy and steel.
