With over a 25-year-plus mine life, Centurion is positioned to lead the future of underground coal mining through safety, innovation and operational excellence.\nThe Opportunity\nPeabody is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team at Centurion Mine, located approximately 160 kilometres west of Mackay.\nReporting to the CHPP Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the successful ramp up and ongoing optimisation of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). Your focus will be on maximising plant performance, improving product recovery and driving operational excellence through technical expertise and continuous improvement initiatives.\nYour Impact\nProvide technical support and advice to ensure the successful ramp up and ongoing operation of the processing plant.\nPartner with operational teams to deliver coaching and technical guidance that improves plant efficiency.\nOversee onsite laboratory activities, ensuring safe and effective support of operational requirements.\nIdentify, develop and implement process improvement initiatives across the CHPP.\nMonitor, analyse and report on plant performance and recovery outcomes.\nSupport budgeting and forecasting activities through accurate operational data and analysis.\nEvaluate operational risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.\nDrive a culture of continuous improvement, safety and operational excellence.\nAbout You\nYou are a technically minded process engineering professional with strong operational experience and a passion for improving plant performance.
