If you are looking to be a part of a company that values partnership over hierarchy and purpose over routine, your next chapter could start here.\nSeeking an experienced attorney, this role is a direct report operating under the direction and supervision of the SVP, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer of the Company.\nEssential Functions:\nPrepare and negotiate commercial contracts, amendments and other legal agreements for the sales channels and all Company departments, as needed. \nAct as a strategic partner to drive growth agenda for matters involving marketing, operations, credit, finance, collections, dealer management, compliance, insurance, customer ambassadors and the customer care.\nSupport and advise the business teams in building new products, programs, and services.\nReview relevant legal implication of existing day-to-day operational activities of the Company.\nProvide legal counsel in general corporate matters, corporate governance, and prospective transactions to support daily operations and minimize risk exposure to the Company.\nPrepare state renewals, annual reports, and NMLS reports.\nContact state regulators to update Company info and resolve state level audits.\nPerform licensing and regulatory compliance research.\nProvide legal support and advice concerning regulatory and compliance matters including GLBA, UDAAP, TCPA, FDCPA, FCRA, ECOA, and other applicable statutory and regulatory requirements of the Company.\nManage and/or prepare Company subpoena responses, discovery requests, and varied litigation work. \nContribute to discussions and provide guidance of corporate litigation and compliance strategy with executive team.\nCollaborate with HR, tax, marketing finance, operations, and servicing on strategic planning, communication, and documentation review. \nServe as a member of various internal committees with a focus on legal and regulatory review.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nPage Break\nQualifications:\nRequires J.D degree from an accredited institution of higher learning in the United States of America. \nMember in good standing of a state bar with ability to waive into a New Jersey in-house counsel license. \nMinimum of 5+ years of total legal experience with significant experience in the commercial equipment lease financing industry.\nDemonstrated working knowledge of federal and state guidelines, rules, and regulations applicable to the equipment leasing and financing industry.\nProficient with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Also proficient in navigating NMLS and state licensing websites.\nAbility to maintain a high level of professionalism, customer service, and communication with all parties involved in the equipment leasing life cycle.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, using current technology, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills are required. \nMust be a self-starter with the confidence to deal effectively with a growth oriented executive management team and the ability to manage outside counsel in an effective manner. \nMust have the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and the sensitivity to facilitate change in a positive manner, have excellent organizational and managerial skills; able to effectively delegate tasks, responsibilities and hold others accountable, executive presence in representing the company to third parties, ability to interface with board members of the Company and parent company.\nAbility to work independently, take responsibility, handle tight deadlines, and make decisions.\nMust have the ability to evaluate legal issues from a business and legal prospective and develop a process where the business unit leaders will look to the deputy general counsel as a key team member in the development of new strategies and concepts. \nAdditional Information:\nThis is a hybrid position, based in our Mt.
