You'd be joining the\nbackend/data engineering team.\nYou'll work closely with the DS on handoffs from experimentation to production, with the\nProduct Manager on scope and priorities, and with the broader backend team on platform\nservices where pipeline logic intersects with the product.\nRole Overview\nWe're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to own data pipeline work end-to-end - from\nbuilding and maintaining production pipelines to integrating new data sources and\ncontributing to backend services that power the platform.\nYou'll be working on: developing new pipeline components as we revamp and upgrade our\ndata flows, cleaning up and sunsetting legacy services, maintaining and improving\ninfrastructure, and eventually integrating open data sources. When DS work produces a\nnew model or data package, you're the person who makes it production-ready.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role. Not research, not analytics.\nTechnical Environment\nPython - core language for everything\nSQL - daily use\nDocker - containerized services throughout\nAWS - Lambda, ECS, S3, Step Functions, CDK (experience a plus, not required\nfrom day one)\nData Stores: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, BigQuery\nIaC: Terraform / CDK (nice to have)\nOrchestration: Argo (or similar - willingness to learn matters more than prior\nexperience)\nWhat You'll Own\nBuild new pipeline components as we upgrade and refactor data flows\nMaintain and improve existing data pipelines - including sunset work on legacy\nservices\nIntegrate new data package sources after DS teams define the spec - you make it\nproduction-grade\nCollaborate with data scientists on handoffs from experimentation to production\nKeep the infrastructure running: monitoring, alerting, reliability\nContribute to backend services where data and platform logic intersects with the\nproduct\nWhat We're Looking For\nMust-have:\n4+ years in data engineering or backend engineering\nStrong Python - production-grade, not just scripts or notebooks\nSQL - comfortable with complex queries, schema design, performance\nconsiderations\nDocker - you've shipped containerized services, not just run them locally\nNice to have:\npandas / data wrangling experience\nAWS (any depth - Lambda, S3, ECS)\nTerraform or CDK\nExperience with orchestration tools (Argo, Airflow, Prefect, or similar)\nPrior work in regulated or data-sensitive environments (life sciences, healthcare,\nfinance)\nWhat matters more than stack coverage:\nYou take ownership of what you ship and monitor it\nYou're used to working from a data spec that's 80% complete - you can fill the\ngaps yourself and flag the ones you can't\nYou can work across the DS ↔ backend boundary without needing a translator\nWhat We're Not Looking For\nFull-stack generalists who drift toward frontend\nPeople who wait for a ticket to tell them something is broken\nWhat we offer\nWorkthat matters- build solutions that support faster and more effective healthcare outcomes.\nHands-onAI work- practical experience with LLMs and modern AI applicationsused in real business scenarios.\nFlexibleB2B compensation- €30-40/h depending on seniority(sole proprietorship only).
