This role ensures timely, accurate, and professional delivery of tooling and service products while maintaining exceptional customer relationships. The driver works closely with the Service Center Manager and Regional Sales Representative to support customer needs, coordinate freight transfers between service centers, and continuously improve route efficiency, communication and provides professional, reliable service to customers while ensuring deliveries and required documentation are completed accurately.\nEssential Functions\nReasonable service tools and related products accurately, efficiently, and on time. \nMaintain professional and positive relationships with machine shop customers. \nCommunicate proactively with customers regarding deliveries, scheduling, and service updates. \nCoordinate daily activities with the Service Center Manager and Regional Sales Representative. \nMonitor and improve route efficiency, time management, and delivery scheduling. \nTransfer and coordinate freight between service centers as needed. \nVerify and process freight settlement documentation accurately. \nAssist in tracking transportation performance, carrier alignment, and delivery costs. \nEnsure compliance with all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and driving standards. \nMaintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned service vehicle.\nWork Environment\nThis position operates primarily from a company service vehicle and regularly interacts with industrial and manufacturing environments, including machine shops and service centers.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nRegularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and use hands and arms. \nFrequent lifting, loading, and unloading of products and equipment. \nMust be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds. \nSpecific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\nPosition Type / Expected Hours of Work\nFull-time position. \nCore working hours are generally Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. \nFlexibility in scheduling may be required based on customer needs and delivery schedules. \nOccasional evening and weekend work may be necessary.\nTravel\nRegular local and regional travel is required.\nOvernight travel is required approximately 1–2 times per month, generally involving one overnight stay.\nTravel may include customer locations, service centers.\nOccasional additional travel may be required based on business needs.\nRequired Education and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. \nMinimum of three (3) years of experience in delivery driving, transportation, logistics, or customer service within a manufacturing, industrial, or service environment preferred. \nValid driver’s license with a clean driving record. \nExperience operating cargo vans or light commercial vehicles preferred. \nStrong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. \nAbility to work independently and manage daily routes
