This pinnacle role is foundational to the community’s success; the ideal candidate is a resident-focused team player with a strong technical aptitude who take pride in the work they perform.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nEnsure all service requests and repairs are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner\nAssist Maintenance Supervisor with monitoring inventory of equipment, tools, parts and supplies at appropriate levels\nMaintain excellent customer service standards\nComply with all personnel management policies and procedures and maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.\nMaintain preventative maintenance schedule\nCommunicate effectively with residents, fellow employees, vendors and supervisors\nWork with Maintenance Supervisor to adhere to budget guidelines and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program\nAssist the Maintenance Supervisor with maintaining a hazard communications program\nInspect grounds, buildings, and other community features as required to minimize liability concerns\nEnsure adherence to the company's safety and hazard communications programs, policies and procedures\nWork with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that physical condition of the community is maintained according to company operating and safety standards\nWork with maintenance team to ensure excellent curb appeal at all times\nAssist residents with the move-in/move-out process as needed\nAssist with the scheduling and performance of all maintenance/repair-related turn events\nPerform scheduled maintenance on all equipment based on the manufacturer's recommendations and operating manuals\nAddress complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional fashion\nMaintain accurate records and contribute to the general upkeep and cleaning of office, common areas and model\nAssist in the daily cleanup of the exterior of the property including grounds, breezeways, and all common areas\nPerform swimming pool maintenance and cleaning and maintain accurate, timely chemical logs\nParticipate in on-call rotation for emergency service\nPerform additional tasks and responsibilities as required\nWhat You’ll Need:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required \nAt least one year maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry\nEPA certification Type I and II preferred \nMust live within 30 miles of the assigned property \nMust have reliable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule as required\nAbility to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as required\nAbility to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and all other systems at community. \nOther licenses and certifications as required by local, state or federal law\nAdditional Qualifications:\nPosition requires individuals to be able to use general maintenance equipment including, but not limited to, hand tools, ladders, refrigerant recovery units, landscaping equipment, and required safety equipment \nAll equipment must be used without jeopardizing the safety of themselves, fellow associates, and residents \nMaintenance Technicians are expected to provide their own hand tools needed for their position. \nPhysical Activities:\nPosition requires ability to transport or move up to 50 pounds variable distances \nUse of ladders to access heights in excess of eight to nine feet\nThe ability to work outdoors in temperatures exceeding 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit \nAbility to personally perform general maintenance repair tasks without endangering themselves, residents or fellow employees \nFrequent bending and/or stooping to access equipment and machinery necessary when assisting with or performing tasks\nWhat You’ll Get (Peak Perks):\nPaid Parental Leave + one year of diapers, on us\n15 Days of PTO + 2 additional \"Wellbeing Days\"\n401(k) Match\nWellness initiatives, healthy team competitions and reward programs through Peak's LiveWell program\nFacilities related leadership program\nAdditional technical training \nTechnical certifications available (HVAC / CPO) \nEmployee Resource Groups \nMonthly renewal bonuses \nAdditional rewards and recognition\n10 Year Peakiversary Trip\n*The anticipated pay range for this role is $22.00 - $23.00 per hour, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.\nWho We Are\nPeakMade Real Estate is an Atlanta-based company that specializes in the management and development of off-campus student housing, multi-family and build to rent communities across the US.
