Reporting directly to the Pre-Cut Manager / Team Leader, you will initially focus onaccurate material take-offs and preliminary cost estimations. As you progress, you will receive structured training in industry-leadingMiTek and Pryda detailing software, transitioning into full timber frame and truss detailing responsibilities.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPhase 1: Estimating & Take-offs\nQuantity Take-Offs: Analyze architectural drawings and structural plans to produce precise timber and hardware material take-offs.\nCosting & Material Preparation: Calculate required material quantities and prepare accurate preliminary estimates for internal review.\nSoftware Familiarization: Utilize estimating tools and foundational MiTek/Pryda features to build complete component schedules.\nPhase 2: Transition & Detailing Execution\nDetailing Training & Execution: Progress under Team Leader guidance to prepare accurate production and layout drawings using MiTek/Pryda software.\nWorkload Management: Balance day-to-day estimating and detailing tasks efficiently to meet established project deadlines.\n Internal Communication: Liaise clearly in English with internal team members, the Team Leader, and factory/production departments to clarify design and material requirements (external communication with clients and suppliers is handled by the Team Leader).\nSystems & Documentation: Maintain meticulous digital records, software data, and required administrative or safety documentation.\nRequirements\nEducation & Credentials: A Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Draughting, Building Construction, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent practical hands-on industry experience.\nEstimating Expertise: Proven background in performing plan take-offs and estimating timber components and framing requirements.\nTechnical Aptitude: Strong proficiency in reading architectural plans and foundational exposure to MiTek, Pryda, or similar structural software.\nLanguage Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.\nPreferred\nIndustry
