Your Impact
Pearce is seeking Experienced Controlled Environment Vault (CEV) HVAC Technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment. This is a fast-paced and rewarding job that is best suited for individuals who are responsible, self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to learn and grow in the Telecom industry. This is a regional position. Candidates should reside within 60 miles of Madison, Wisconsin area.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform work on underground Controlled Environment Vaults (CEVs).
- Service forced-air heating systems, air conditioning units, hydronic heating systems, refrigeration equipment, and complete HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment and all related mechanical and electrical components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and operational testing on HVAC and electrical systems.
- Test electrical circuits and components for continuity using appropriate electrical test equipment.
- Layout, connect, and verify electrical wiring between controls and equipment in accordance with wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshoot low-voltage control systems and read/interpret electrical ladder schematics.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of underground gas monitoring systems (including Sierra 2400, Sierra 2450, and Quest control systems).
- Maintain basic plumbing systems, including sump pumps.
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Core Experience
- Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
- 2+ years of experience of demonstrated competency of HVAC comfort systems, including professional-level diagnostics and service.
- Possess strong working knowledge of pumps, dry coolers, and cooling towers.
- Complete all required safety and technical training.
- Follow all safety practices and quality standards as outlined in company safety manuals and project documentation
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
Physical/Work Environment
At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA Standards.
Candidates should reside within 60 miles of Madison, Wisconsin area.
Core Responsibilities
- Must be available for after-hours and weekend call outs on occasion.
- Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure.
- Occasional overnights required-company pays all travel costs and provides per diem.
- Driving to remote work sites as needed.
- Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
- Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Will be required to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
Compensation: $24.00-$38.00 hourly/DOE
