To learn more about Pearce visit http://www.pearce-services.com.\nYour Impact\nPearce is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support our Critical Power organization by developing accurate, detailed, and competitive estimates for turn-key electrical projects. This role will focus on critical power installations, including Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, structured cabling, and electrical service and maintenance work.\nThe Electrical Estimator will review project requirements, perform detailed take-offs, conduct site walk-throughs, develop comprehensive cost estimates, and prepare proposals that clearly identify labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and other project costs. This individual will partner closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management to develop technically sound and profitable solutions from initial opportunity through project award.\nThe ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, hands-on estimating experience, and the ability to evaluate complex project requirements in critical power and mission-critical environments.\nCore Responsibilities\nDevelop complete and detailed estimates and proposals for UPS systems, generators, critical power infrastructure, structured cabling, and electrical service and maintenance projects.\nPrepare itemized pricing for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, freight, travel, contingencies, and other project-related costs.\nPerform detailed quantity take-offs and develop complete project cost estimates for regional and national opportunities.\nReview electrical drawings, specifications, scopes of work, RFPs, bid documents, and customer requirements to determine project scope and pricing.\nConduct site walk-throughs and assessments to evaluate existing conditions, verify quantities, identify installation challenges, and gather information necessary to develop accurate estimates.\nObtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes based on pricing, availability, lead times, and project requirements.\nIdentify scope gaps, project risks, exclusions, assumptions, and potential cost impacts during the estimating process.\nCollaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management to clarify technical requirements and develop appropriate project solutions.\nSupport change-order pricing, value engineering, and scope revisions throughout the bidding and project lifecycle.\nMaintain organized estimating files, take-offs, proposal documentation, vendor pricing, and historical cost information.\nAssist with bid reviews and handoffs to project teams following award.\nMaintain awareness of current material, equipment, and labor costs to support accurate and competitive pricing.\nTravel to customer locations, project sites, and company offices regionally and nationally as required.\nCore Experience\n Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university is required.\nProven experience in electrical estimating, preferably involving critical power, UPS systems, generators, data centers, mission-critical facilities, structured cabling, and/or electrical service and maintenance projects.\nDemonstrated experience performing detailed quantity take-offs and developing comprehensive project estimates.\nStrong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, power distribution, installation methods, construction practices, and applicable industry codes and standards.\nExperience reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, RFPs, bid packages, and technical documentation.\nAbility to evaluate labor requirements, material quantities, equipment needs, subcontractor costs, and project risks.\nExperience obtaining and evaluating vendor and subcontractor pricing.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as estimating and take-off software.\nStrong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to manage multiple estimates and priorities while meeting demanding bid deadlines.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document estimates, assumptions, exclusions, and proposal requirements.\nAbility and willingness to conduct on-site assessments and travel regionally and nationally as required.\nValid driver’s license required.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience estimating turn-key UPS, generator, critical power, or data-center projects.\nExperience estimating electrical service, preventive maintenance, upgrades, replacements, and retrofit projects.\nKnowledge of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber.\nExperience with estimating platforms such as Accubid, ConEst, or similar software.\nExperience supporting projects from initial estimating and proposal development through award and project handoff.\nPrevious experience working in electrical construction, critical power, mission-critical facilities, data centers, or field-service environments is highly preferred.\nAt Pearce, we are committed to fair and transparent pay practices.
