This role will work across data engineering and business intelligence, turning data into clear and useful reporting experiences.\nYou will work with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to develop semantic models, dashboards, and reports that follow established data products and organizational standards. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with independent ownership of reporting work across the delivery lifecycle-from gathering requirements through deployment and support-while collaborating with experienced team members on broader analytics and data engineering initiatives.\nWhat You’ll Do\nData Visualization & Reporting\nDesign and develop Power BI dashboards and reports that support school operations, student outcomes analysis, and enterprise reporting\nTranslate business needs into intuitive, actionable visualizations aligned with PVS reporting standards\nHelp improve report performance, usability, and accessibility for diverse end users (school leaders, analysts, executives)\nImplement and maintain data security policies within reporting tools in adherence with PVS data security policies, governance and best practices\nSemantic Modeling\nBuild and maintain Power BI semantic models (datasets) that serve as governed, reusable data foundations\nApply established data modeling practices such as star schema, DAX optimization, and row-level security\nPartner with engineering to ensure alignment between data pipelines and reporting layer\nData Quality & Reliability\nValidate data outputs and ensure consistency between reports and source systems\nTroubleshoot data discrepancies, refresh failures, and performance issues\nContribute to monitoring, testing, and documentation of reporting solutions\nImplement and validate Row Level Security in a multi-tenant environment\nCollaboration & Delivery\nWork closely with business stakeholders to refine requirements and prioritize features\nParticipate in design discussions, backlog refinement, and peer reviews\nCommunicate technical tradeoffs, risks, and timelines clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences\nScalability & Data Product Enablement\nContribute to the development of scalable, reusable reporting assets that align with PVS data product strategy\nSupport self-service analytics by enabling well-documented datasets and consistent definitions\nContribute to improvements in deployment practices, governance, and lifecycle management\nWhat You Bring\nTechnical Expertise\n2+ Years of practical experience with Power BI, including report development, visualizations, DAX, Power Query, and semantic modeling; exposure to tools such as Tabular Editor 3, DAX Studio, or ALM Toolkit is helpful\nStrong knowledge of data modeling concepts, including star schema and fact/dimension design\nExperience with SQL and working with structured datasets in data warehouses/lakehouses\nFamiliarity with data pipelines and integration concepts (e.g., Azure Data Factory, ETL/ELT patterns)\nProblem Solving & Growth\nExperience independently delivering reporting solutions from requirements through deployment and support\nAbility to troubleshoot common data, performance, and visualization issues, with support when needed\nExperience improving data quality, reliability, and usability\nCollaboration & Communication\nStrong communication skills that deliver exceptional value to internal and external customers\nAbility to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights\nExperience working cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and business teams\nStrong documentation and knowledge-sharing practices\nQualifications\n1-3 years of experience in Power BI development, business intelligence,data analysis, or a related area\nExperience building or supporting reports and dashboards used for operational or business decision-making\nExperience working with data in an environment where tools, architecture, and governance practices continue to evolve\nPreferred Experience\nExperience in
