customer-centric mindset to solve complex business problems and deliver production-ready solutions.\nThe FDE works closely with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and engineers to understand customer needs, validate ideas, build proof-of-concepts, and deliver scalable capabilities using modern engineering practices.\nThis role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on engineering expertise, and the ability to translate business requirements into secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions.\nSuccess is measured by delivering customer value, accelerating solution delivery, and enabling successful adoption of the capabilities delivered.\nKey Responsibilities\nCustomer-Centric Solution Delivery\nWork directly with customers, business stakeholders, and product teams to understand requirements and desired outcomes.\nAnalyse customer journeys, business workflows, and user pain points.\nTranslate business needs into practical technical solutions.\nEnsure customer value remains at the centre of the delivery lifecycle.\nGather feedback and continuously improve delivered solutions.\nSolution Discovery & Proof of Concepts\nLead technical discovery sessions and solution design workshops.\nDevelop proof-of-concepts (POCs), prototypes, and minimum viable solutions to validate assumptions, demonstrate value, and reduce implementation risk.\nEvaluate technology options and recommend suitable approaches.\nPresent technical recommendations and trade-offs to stakeholders.\nSupport solution shaping and implementation planning activities.\nSoftware Engineering\nDesign, develop, test, and deploy production-grade software solutions.\nBuild APIs, integrations, microservices, automations, and cloud-native applications.\nParticipate in architecture and design discussions.\nApply software engineering best practices, coding standards, and testing approaches.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.\nCloud Engineering\nDesign, build, and support solutions on AWS and/or Azure.\nApply Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, Kubernetes, cloud automation, and deployment pipelines.\nImplement monitoring, logging, observability, and operational controls.\nDesign and contribute to scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.\nFollow cloud engineering and operational excellence practices.\nSecure-by-Design Engineering\nApply secure-by-design principles throughout the software development lifecycle.\nImplement secure coding practices and security controls.\nParticipate in threat modelling, vulnerability remediation, and security reviews.\nApply DevSecOps practices, including automated security validation and compliance checks.\nEnsure solutions meet enterprise security and governance standards.\nAI-Assisted Engineering\nLeverage AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and software quality.\nApply AI-supported approaches for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and automation.\nContribute to agentic and automation initiatives where appropriate.\nFollow responsible AI and data governance practices.\nTechnical Leadership & Collaboration\nProvide technical leadership within project teams.\nMentor engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.\nLead code reviews, design reviews, and engineering discussions.\nCollaborate with architects, security teams, product teams, and cloud engineers.\nInfluence technical decisions through technical expertise, collaboration, and principles.\nExperience delivering production-grade solutions.\nCloud Engineering\nExperience with AWS and/or Azure.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, Kubernetes, cloud automation,
