In this role, you will support the planning and organisation of mainly Zoom-based training events, with a likely focus on vocational qualifications such as BTEC and T Levels. You will work with internal assessment teams to gather event information, coordinate support and resolve operational questions.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys accuracy, customer service and ownership. Work volumes change across the year, so you will need to prioritise confidently, adapt quickly and maintain quality during peak periods.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the scheduling, resourcing and organisation of meetings and training events.
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather event requirements and keep delivery on track.
- Maintain accurate management information and provide visibility across the event lifecycle.
- Arrange proportionate staff support for online standardisation and training events.
- Monitor attendance requirements and contact delegates proactively to confirm attendance.
- Respond to customer queries through email, chat and CRM within agreed service levels.
- Support operational protocols, Associate payment schedules and efficient team processes.
- Take ownership of a qualification and its processes, including service levels, operational meetings and team support.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in an administrative or operational environment.
- A strong track record of organising your workload across multiple high-priority tasks.
- Ability to work accurately to tight and immoveable deadlines.
- Experience making fact-based decisions in time-pressured situations.
- Customer-facing experience in a fast-paced or demanding environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence maintaining stakeholder relationships.
- Attention to detail, including during repetitive or high-volume work.
- A positive, flexible approach to change, new processes and multiple IT systems.
- Five GCSEs or equivalent at grades A* to C, including English and Mathematics.
- Intermediate Excel, Zoom familiarity, regulated-sector experience or education-sector experience would be helpful.
Location & Working Pattern
This role is based fully on site at Pearson’s Fretwell site in Hellaby, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00. The team’s workload changes throughout the year, with busier summer periods. Occasional rota-based weekend support may be discussed for peak delivery in May and June.
Why Join Pearson?
Join a customer-focused team that enables large-scale training for teachers and Assessment Associates. You will build broad operational experience across qualifications, virtual events, stakeholder coordination and continuous improvement while taking ownership of visible delivery outcomes.
