Linden Rd. Flint MI\nWhy Work at Peckham - Peckham\nSUMMARY\nWill work in a large warehouse environment receiving items from delivery trucks and placing items in the appropriate warehouse area. They could also be picking items for outbound shipments, sorting inbound OCIE shipments, or manually loading or unloading trucks or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations according to the WMS.\nThe persons in these positions will work relatively unsupervised throughout the day. At the start of the shift the person will be given a hand-held radio frequency unit with an LED readout monitor, a bar code scanner. The hand-held unit directs the material handler to the location where items need to be placed in the warehouse. The worker will also have to key in information from stock that is received to produce labels for those items. The worker must be able to verify that the items are being placed in the correct storage area. Accuracy is extremely important, but speed is also a factor. The worker must be able to recognize discrepant 15-digit part numbers.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nUse radio-frequency stock locator.\nReports any discrepancies in orders to Shipping and Receiving supervisor.\nKey in 15-digit part numbers into computer.\nMeet established deadlines.\nMaintain warehouse equipment by following manufacturer’s standards of use and cleaning.\nWork with supervisor towards meeting performance standards.\nMaintain a safe and clean working environment.\nDaily use of a fork truck, reach truck, push carts and motorized pallet jacks.\nOperate with a high level of accuracy.\nEnter computerized data and print tags.\nProvide training support for peers.\nOther duties as assigned.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nAt least 18 years old.\nMust be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a frequent basis.\nMust be able lift up to 40 pounds on a moderate basis.\nMust be able lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.\nNo positive drug screen for the past 12 months.\nMust have reliable transportation to get between job locations.\nIndividual must be able to gain and maintain the necessary security clearances.\nBasic English reading and writing levels.\nBasic math, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.\nMust be able to recognize discrepant 15-digit part numbers.\nMust be able to be licensed on a forklift and a reach truck.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nMaintain respectful communication, give, and receive feedback.\nAbility to follow directions.\nProblem solving skills.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
