This position prioritizes and monitors workloads based on business needs, communicates research findings, and provides guidance to peers and other stakeholders as appropriate. The Operations Specialist collaborates with team members and leadership, cross-trains across multiple functions, processes communications and claims as needed, and may support peer training, mentoring, special projects, and other operational assignments.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nAccurately prepare and/or processes electronic records to and from workflows by verifying, entering, organizing, sorting, and routing to appropriate locations\nConduct research to resolve unique and complex errors or issues with records and/or systems\nCommunicate with others based on research findings\nProvide guidance to others based on research findings\nMonitor, track, and/or communicate workload status to appropriate staff\nCreate and/or process incoming and/or outgoing communication\nCross train to multiple functions or workloads\nPrioritize functions or workloads depending on business need and/or direction\nCollaborates and communicates with peers and leaders\nProcess live claims using applicable computer systems as needed\nMentor and/or train peers as needed\nAccept other jobs/duties as assigned\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent \nAt least 18 years of age \nU.S. Citizen \nProficient in the English language with oral and written communication skills sufficient to facilitate clear and accurate information exchanges with customers\nAbility to pass a thorough background check screening (credit and criminal history) to determine fitness for a federal security clearance\n1-year clerical experience\nComputer and keyboarding skills sufficient to record information accurately and efficiently, with demonstrated proficiency in data entry and the ability to maintain focus and accuracy\nAbility to multitask, prioritize, problem-solve, and effectively adapt to a fast-paced environment\nAbility to take direction within a team setting, work independently, and meet quality and production standards\nHigh-speed wired (cable or DSL, not satellite) internet with minimum upload speeds of 5 Mbps and download speeds of 10 Mbps (documented proof required)\nA quiet, dedicated home office space that meets remote work requirements\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience working in multiple computer systems at one time\nStrong computer experience\nMicrosoft Office experience\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
