This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive; employees will perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or hospital administration as required.\nMaintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.\nAdheres to hospital policies and procedures.\nDemonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines. \nExercising appropriate age-specific communication skills when interacting with customers, patients, and families (i.e. courtesy, smiling).\nExercising appropriate age-specific practices when interacting with customers, patients, and families (i.e. lock up cleaning cart to prevent children from accessing any chemicals).\nSelects cleaning supplies, materials, equipment and transports to work area.\nCleans assigned areas by cleaning furniture, floors, fixtures, restrooms, sinks, tubs, showers, and curtains, equipment, ledges, walls, doors and frames, vents, televisions, windows and frames, carpets, baseboards, corners and edges, desks, countertops, phones, water fountains, ice machines, elevators and stairwells.\nClean assigned areas by following Environmental Services / Sodexo Shine cleaning procedures\nClean and disinfect following infection control protocol and standards\nClean and disinfect beds and cribs\nRemove and replace cubicle curtains\nTransport beds, cribs, and furniture as needed.\nCleans spills, broken glass, body fluids in general, and large volume of water.\nPerforms floor care that consists of extracting and /or shampooing carpets, spot removing stains, buffing floors, stripping /scrubbing and refinishing floors.\nPerforms daily cleaning of patient rooms.\nPerforms discharge cleaning of patient rooms\nPerforms daily cleaning and terminal cleaning of isolation rooms.\nPerforms daily cleaning of offices and ancillary areas\nPerforms daily cleaning of public areas and restrooms.\nReplenishes supplies such as paper towels, toilet tissues, and hand soap.\nReturn unused supplies to janitor’s closet\nCleans cart, equipment and janitor closets when shift ends.\nReport needed repairs and safety hazards\nAbility to adjust schedule to meet department needs and changes.\nCollects, transports, and disposes regular wastes, infectious wastes, and recycled wastes.\nAdheres to infection control guidelines.\nPerforms all “STATS” cleaning requests without delay\nDemonstrates good knowledge of the use of Personal Protective ‘equipment (PPE).\nAdheres to hospital and department attendance guidelines.\nAdheres to hospital and department health and educational requirements.\nAttends department meetings and in-services.\nDemonstrates good knowledge of Fire Plan, Disaster Plan, and other DCH codes.\nCommunicates with supervisors on areas that need clarification of guidance.\nOther duties as assigned\nEducation and/or Experience:\nLess than high school education;
