Please review the job information below.\nGENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:\nResponsible for the supervision of non-clinical education to include the assessment of learning needs and the development, implementation, documentation and evaluation of orientation and talent development.\nCoordinates activities of non-clinical staff at DHS. Participates in the development of non-clinical policies, procedures and competencies. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive; employees will perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the\nimmediate supervisor and/or hospital administration as required.\nDevelops, directs and determines the effectiveness of DHS General Orientation, which includes maintaining relationships and communication with presenters, updating content when needed, and overall coordination of orientation events.\nWorks with Human Resources regarding DHS General Orientation training for new hires.\nDevelops, directs and determines the effectives of DHS employee development programs.\nAssists DHS departments with developing training programs based on the needs of the organization.\nAssists with required annual regulatory training events.\nTravel frequently to DCH RGV and Satellite location to facilitate training programs as needed\nAssesses learning needs of non-clinical and management staff using various methods.\nStudies current trends, new technology, new teaching methodologies through professional journals, seminars, conferences, professional societies.\nDemonstrates advanced knowledge in MS Office applications and can provide training on such applications.\nOrganizes and develops training manuals, reference library, testing/evaluation procedures, visual aids and other educational materials.\nDemonstrates ability to operate equipment, projectors, audiovisual equipment, cameras, other equipment used in instruction and patient care.\nDevelops, evaluates, reviews, revises and implements policies and procedures, goals and objectives in area of responsibility.\nAssists with the coordination of performance improvement activities.\nAssist with and implements special projects.\nMaintains training records and ensures documentation meets standards and regulations.\nDevelops and coordinates conferences/seminars and programs; develops promotional materials and brochures.\nServe as a non-clinical resource consultant.\nParticipates in the maintenance of regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and JCAHO regulations related to the organization.\nCoordinates non-clinical training programs.\nCompletes annual educational requirements.\nMaintains composure, effectiveness, and flexibility under pressure.\nMaintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.\nSupports and carries out hospital policies and procedures.\nDemonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's degree from four-year college or university or one to two years of related experience and/or training;
