This role provides customer service and is responsible forall billing aspects associated with Pediatrics Plus insurance billingincludingMedicaid billing, insurance billing, private pay billing, and insurance accounts receivable.\nWhat we offer:\nCompetitive Pay\nPaid Time Off\nMedical, Dental, & Vision Insurance\nState of the Art Facilities & Technology\nWhat you will do:\nProcess and bill insurance claims. \nHandle medical record requests from insurance companies. \nReconcile payments received to payments posted in system. \nProvide excellent customer service over the phone to families and team members. \nExplain insurance billing scenarios to families and team members. \nProblem solve any inconsistencies with insurance billing. \nWork well in a team environment. \nProcess and reconcile insurance paper checks weekly. \nCall insurance companies to obtain/maintain pre-certification for patient therapies. \nEnter and update data within deTASO. \nParticipate in one-on-one meetings with leader. \nRespond positively to feedback concerning job performance. \nCommunicate any needs or concerns with administration. \nMaintain confidentiality and patient privacy to HIPAA standards. \nUphold and incorporate the core values, mission, and philosophy of Pediatrics Plus into all job responsibilities. \nDisplay an understanding of the leadership and management style of Pediatrics Plus. \n Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation/ Certification:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent. \nBachelor’s degree, preferred.\n2+ years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting, required.\nSkills/ Abilities:\nAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people. \nStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. \nComputer skills which include a working knowledge of keyboarding, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software. \nAbility to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment. \nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents. \nAbility to author routine reports and correspondence. \nAbility to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of the organization. \nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, divide, in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. \nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. \nReports for work dressed appropriately and complies withcompany policies regardingthe dress code. \nAbility to maintain regular and punctual attendance. \nAbility to complete tasks in a timely manner. \nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequentlyrequired to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing.The employee is regularly required tomove including walking, running, jumping, and sitting.
